I am a native English speaker living in London with a Bachelor's degree in English and Media Studies. I am also TEFL certified. For the past five years, I have worked with children across a variety of age groups in primary schools and Kumon centers as a teaching assistant. I have helped students improve their English skills either in small groups or with one to one support, and it has been rewarding for me to see their confidence grow in the subject. I'm offering two types of classes: ESL Conversation Classes: We can talk about a range of topics and work together to improve your conversational skills. We would choose the topic prior to the lesson (e.g. music, the workplace, travel, directions) and then I would prepare the lesson accordingly. You will be provided with homework to enhance what you have learned during the session. KS1 & KS2 English Tutoring: These sessions are geared towards Primary School aged children from Year 2 - Year 6. I can provide all-around English support as well as preparation for SAT exams. We will need to discuss beforehand which areas the student requires support before a session. Homework can be provided. As a teacher, I like to get to know my students and for them to get to know me as well. This I believe, helps to make the lessons more comfortable and engaging. Students should feel free to ask questions and not worry about making mistakes - that's how we learn! I look forward to working with you!

I continued to study Physics and Maths mostly by myself and i got enrolled at the Univerity of Bucharest Faculty of Physics for a BSc degree. I graduated four years later and then i decided to continue my master degree in London. During my early 20s, i got several different jobs, including tutoring kids at home and online in Maths and Physics. I've been gaining experience working with kids that needed help to keep up with the school requirements or just had some more questions and no one was able to help them. I even helped them to prepare for national exams so they can their GCSE and Baccalaureate test done. I tend to help the student to understand the ideea or the concept first and then move to solving execises or problems. I have always tried to give the student a clear and exact idea of the subject that we were discussing so that he can continue by himself to learn and adapt to new challanges for this school life. I try to adapt to the children's personality and his requirements so we can develop a plan in order to help him.
