I can offer introductory lessons in composition using music technology, cello performance, music theory and history. My aim is to foster creative practice, critical thinking, individual growth and wellbeing through the experience of music-making. The teaching methods I use are based on humanist theories where my role is that of a facilitator. As a teacher, I see myself as supporting students’ individual creative development and my approach changes according to each student’s learning needs and backgrounds. This class is tailored to you for improving your English reading and writing skills! We will read texts that we will choose together (based on your level of reading complexity and interests) and we will respond both critically and creatively through writing exercises. As such, I am skilled at tutoring across the disciplines of the humanities and creative arts, focusing on developing critical and theoretical thinking skills. I approach each student as an individual learner with specific needs and areas of improvement. I tailor my lessons directly to the student's current coursework, challenges, and personal goals. Throughout my four years of study in the “Dimitrie Paciurea” Art High School in Bucharest, I was able to study art in depth and in its various manifestations, and in doing so I was able to see the glimpses of the subconscious mind set as reflected in art. My teaching method is based on communication and experience. By that I mean that, I approach my students with curiosity, promoting their researching abilities. Moreover, I deeply analyse and question the meanings of their chosen topics of inspiration, in order to offer a better understanding of the symbolic meaning behind their though process. Likewise, I promote freedom of choice in their subjects with guidance throughout each project, and encourage originality and ingenuity. Thus allowing them to understand themselves on another level. Subsequently, due to my experience in working with disabled children I have understood that the subconscious is present in any creative project hence why if I suspect that the child is going through some hard times I will immediately offer feedback to their parents. Altogether, my final goal is to understand the hidden meaning of the hints left by the subconscious, through our day to day life, and inspire others to adventure in this journey
