Mounir - London£49
Trusted teacher: Give your child the future he deserves. Double-degree from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and Centralesupelec / Scientific Baccalaureat with Very Good / 20/20 in mathematics / MPSI / MP preparatory class * / 5 years of tutoring experience / more than 30 regular students + volunteer in associations of homework help for pupils in great difficulty Do you want to significantly increase your child's mathematical average? Do you want it to integrate a selective course? Do you want it to become autonomous? For 5 years, I have helped more than 30 French students in difficulty from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) and high school (second, first, final) to achieve their goals (good average, patent, bac, PREPA) and to regain self-confidence. My method in 3 points: - in the short term, significantly increase the average by assimilating the course and preparing for the next tests (assimilating the course, writing files, practicing standard exercises, anticipating the teacher's expectations and test questions, having methods of writing) - in the medium term, integrate reasoning and work methods (learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercise, preparation for the test and analysis of the pass test) - in the long term, set a goal, build the steps to reach this goal, become aware of the SIMPLICITY of math, have confidence in your abilities, release your potential) The formula: a course of 1h30 / 2h * per week for the assimilation of the current chapter + a course before the test * I recommend two courses for those brought up in preparatory class # 1: The first class is a test class # 2: I come to your home # 3: Your child can contact me whenever they want If you want to increase your child's math results, contact me before the next test!

Y pueda dar clases in español (o portuñol). EN - Hi, I'm Lucie and I would be glad to help you learn English, be it from scratch or to help you improve. I love to make my students speak since I strongly believe that practice is the key to learn a language and to improve your knowledge. I always structure my lessons according to subjects based on daily life situations (how to introduce yourself, how to make an appointment, shopping / grocery, going to the doctors, professional language, etc). We'll go through the grammar, vocab, and pronunciation. If you're intermediate, we'll also do some lessons about reading comprehensions. We'll put both the grammar and vocab in practice. And hey, I can teach in English if you want! FR - Hi, I'm Lucie and I would be happy to help you learn English, whether it's from scratch or to improve your knowledge. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFY MATHS TEACHER (HEAD OF MATHS) I have great experience teaching and tutoring Maths and French in the UK and abroad. I am able to teach mathematics up to GCSE level. I have been teaching maths to GCSE standard for five years now. I know exactly what is included in the new GCSE specifications. My role as an assistant Head of maths department has definitely given me the opportunity to write schemes of learning for year 11. As a result, I know how to break down topics in order to help your child to meet or exceed their targets. Some success stories Student A This is a young girl that had grade 2 before I started tutoring her. I helped her building her confidence, showed her exam tips, how to revise and more importantly how marks are allocated for every questions. She was really happy when she opened her GCSE letter and realised that she got 4. Student B This lovely year 11 boy was a grade 5 student in maths, after working really hard with him, doing exam papers every week, giving him challenged questions he did extremely well and achieved a grade 7 maths. His grade then allowed him to confirm his place in a Grammar school in Kent. I am also trained to teach/tutor mathematics using mathematics mastery. This is a program designed to help students conceptualise and understand the reason why we are studying mathematics. This program follows a CPA approach (Concrete Pictorial Abstract). For every topic that I teach/tutor, I always bring maths alive by taking real life examples. These help students understand the concept. For instance: Calculating with negative numbers is a topic that most student find difficult in maths. even those that get it might not be able to explain the reason why -4 + 8 = 4. when teaching this topic, I like using oyster cards, bank account or the weather as an example. `if I have -4 pound in my oyster card what does it mean? ` Now I top up 8 pounds what will my new balance be? This was just an example of how to link mathematics to real life situations. I can teach/tutor students with different abilities this include higher, middle and lower set. It is never too late to start, if you are looking for someone that can help your child achieve or exceed their target grade do not hesitate to get in contact with me. Thank you

*** Music Theory lessons with Dr Jonathan *** I am a composer and educator based in South-East London who has recently obtained a PhD in composition from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, having previously studied at Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music. My passion for music feeds directly into my passion for teaching, and I hope that I can inspire as many people as possible to deepen their love of music by learning to understand it from the inside out. I have been teaching music for over 10 years both in schools and as a private tutor, ranging from interactive workshops with primary students to university-level one-to-one composition. I have previously been the resident composition teacher at Eton College (2015-17) and City of London School for Girls (2017-20), as well as delivering workshops at schools around the country in a visiting capacity. I am as comfortable working with students taking their very first steps in theory and composition as I am with those who are more advanced, and can teach across a variety of styles and genres including classical, jazz, rock and musical theatre. As a tutor, I always seek a student-led approach, adapting content and delivery to individual tutees’ needs. Above all, whether in theory or composition, I always try to enthuse students by conveying my own love of music and encouraging theirs. No element of music or musical development can be considered in isolation, and so I seek to link up whatever a student is working on with their wider musicianship and listening – classical or otherwise – to put things into context. Another important part of my teaching practice is preparing tailor-made resources for students which are theirs to keep, ensuring that any material covered can be revised and consolidated. Time is split between teaching key concepts (including providing tailor-made resources) and looking through student work, always balancing the discussion between aspects of the work which are more or less successful. While most of my theory students take ABRSM theory grades, I also teach theory and musicianship more broadly without focusing on specific exams and boards.

Excellence Math, Physics, Chemistry - Lycee - 19 average (London)
Mounir
Mounir has been tutoring my daughter for a few months (French syllabus, 3eme - Brevet level). She loves the lessons and looks forward to their weekly Zoom meeting. Mounir easily builds a good rapport with his students and makes lessons interesting and fun, building confidence along the way. He is methodical and organised in his approach and makes sure to go over any aspects of the lessons which may have been less well covered in class, leaving the student with a solid grasp of the entire syllabus. He also recommended alternative revision cards and exercise books with corrections which my daughter finds much more user friendly than the ones provided at her school. Overall a very satisfactory experience and we would recommend Mounir without hesitation to anyone looking for an excellent maths tutor.

German Lessons with Great Results - Deutsch Macht Spass! (Acton)
Carol
I wanted to brush up my German and Carol proved to be the perfect tutor. She designed a course to match my needs and was happy to adapt it as I progressed. She provided preparation work to support really effective face-to-face courses which included conversation practice around topics I chose. Carol is a highly professional language teacher who loves her job and shows infinite patience and flexibility. Her half-German background meant she understood my pitfalls and gently corrected and explained them. Her lessons were great fun and -Eureka! I finally feel more confident in German. I can recommend Carol 100%. Chris

Violin for everyone! Repertoire provided. ABRSM/Trinity possible (The Hague)
Mario
Mauro created the energetic vibe right the moment I stepped into the class. I studied violin with other teacher before and Mauro helped me out transit smoothly to the new teacher with his teaching method. I really like doing scales with Etude, adding much more musicality. He also observed closely when I played and helped me improve each small details. I really appreciated that. Last but not least, the studio is equipped with piano as well and I enjoyed practicing duo with Mauro either with two violins or violin-piano.
