About Me
I am a multi-instrumentalist and educator with 15+ years’ experience on saxophone, clarinet, flute, and drums, and recently graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. I’ve performed across jazz, classical, pop, and contemporary styles, with appearances at venues including Ronnie Scott’s, Caveau de la Huchette (Paris), Brick Lane Jazz Festival, and We Out Here.

Alongside performing, I’m passionate about music education and sharing the enthusiasm that has shaped my own journey. I’ve led workshops and concerts in collaboration with the Guildhall School at venues such as Milton Court, Ely, and the City of Norwich School. As a member of Tomorrow’s Warriors, I believe in the power of music to inspire and create change, and I aim to help each student build confidence, develop strong musical skills, and find their own artistic voice.
Education
I completed my A Levels at Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School with grades of A in Maths and Physics, and a Distinction 3 in Music Pre-U, before earning a BMus (Hons) with a High 2:1 from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Experience / Qualifications
In 2023, I co-founded Cosmos Saxophones, a jazz-inspired saxophone quartet performing works by composers such as Phil Woods and Gordon Goodwin. We’ve performed at major venues including Milton Court, Silk Street Concert Hall, and St Olave’s Church, and led educational workshops for secondary schools, including at the City of Norwich School.

As a member of Tomorrow’s Warriors Youth Ensembles, I’ve performed under the mentorship of Gary Crosby OBE, Binker Golding, and Denys Baptiste at festivals and venues across the UK.

Alongside performing, I teach saxophone, clarinet, and music theory to students of all levels—from young beginners to adult learners. I tailor lessons to individual goals, focusing on technique, tone, and expressive freedom, while fostering a supportive and exploratory learning environment. My teaching is informed by mentorship at Guildhall and through Tomorrow’s Warriors.

I also work as a freelance musician, collaborating with the Asian Music Community, Nepali artists, and the Nu Civilisation Orchestra.

Feel like picking up a new hobby? Want to refresh your knowledge? Looking for a new way to be creative?

Why not learn how to read and write music - who knows, maybe you're a composer at heart?

I have created a seven step program that takes you through the basics and teaches how to recognize clefs, range, and expands the limits of possibilities. While day 1 is an introduction on the build of music and what notes are, by day 5 you already understand how key signatures work and how to write down a tune that you hear somewhere.

Or, maybe, you have an instrument and always wanted to be able to pick up a piece of music and be able to play it? Or, perhaps, it is time to become the composer and notate your creations to better remember and share? Whatever it might be, learning to read and write music gives you a new, exciting skill and opens a door to a whole new world!

My name's Luca and I've been a full-time professional musician for the past 10 years. I mainly work as a session musician and recording artist/producer, and also as a private guitar tutor.
My goal when it comes to teaching is to share my knowledge and passion for music and to help you improving and having as much enjoyment from it as I have for it.

I base my lessons on my student’s ambitions and on their weaknesses, so they can improve quickly and efficiently, without loosing interest on the instrument, and so they can reach their goals, giving them a personalised lesson plan, having fun and playing different styles and techniques. Everyone is welcome to join my teaching plan if they want to spice up their playing or simply start from scratch.

I specialise in all popular musical styles, such as Pop, R&B, Funk, Jazz, Rock and more, on both electric and acoustic guitar. I'm extremely passionate in music theory, composition, arranging, and also music production. If you're interested in developing your skills in any of these areas, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Isaac is an award-winning clarinettist, teacher and arranger. He graduated with Distinction from the Royal College of Music as an HR Taylor Trust Scholar, studying Masters of Performance. In 2021, he graduated first class as a Bachelor of Music from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he won the college's Concerto Competition. He is originally from a small village in Northamptonshire.

At a young age, Isaac has a wealth of experience in teaching across all levels of education. He has managed his private studio for half a decade, whilst currently holding the position of woodwind tutor at West London Free School, previously Loughton Music Academy Trust and World Heart Beat Music Academy. Alongside working with RCM & RWCMD Juniors departments, and RCM Sparks programmes as workshop support staff, Isaac has worked with the outreach departments of the London Mozart Players, Neville Holt Opera and Royal Scottish National Orchestra. He is also an ongoing self-employed tutor at BSharp Studios, Marie de Bry Arts Academy, Forte Lessons, Lycaeum Tutors, and London Music Tutors; he is also on the roster of the RCM Teaching Service. In 2022, his wind quintet, Ormonde Ensemble, won a place on the Wigmore Hall Chamber Tots Training and Development Scheme, a unique opportunity for musicians to develop their skills and experience as supporting musicians in early-year practice.

Isaac approaches teaching with a young, fresh mindset with a heavy focus on a strong musical foundation, problem-solving, practice “hacking”, determination and, above all, enjoyment. He has been commended for his relatability and calm, patient but efficient manner. He believes that the perfect teacher enables the pupil to become their own teacher! Being able to have clear direction and goals is of paramount importance. Also, having the capacity to ask “Why is this working/not working?” and having ideas on how to fix them is the fastest way to progress.

After studying performance psychology alongside his clarinet studies at RCM and during his exchange in Finland, Isaac is deeply passionate about how the mind affects how we play and practice. He draws mostly from academics such as Anders Ericsson and Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, and countless world-leading clarinet players whom he has been fortunate to learn from.

Being an active professional musician by trade means Isaac is always striving to be on the top of his playing, which bolsters teaching practices immensely, allowing lessons to be driven through first-hand and recent experiences. This facilitates constantly fresh ideas for his pupils to work on alongside regular fundamentals. Isaac works regularly as a guest with some of the top orchestras in the country, such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and London Mozart Players, among others. He has recently been appointed as one of the Philharmonia’s ‘MMSF Emerging Artists’ for the 2023/24 season.

Isaac’s rates factor in all the financial obligations of being self-employed, such as holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions, familial leave, additional travel, increased preparation time or greater responsibility. Current inflation rates, including global food prices and transport costs, are also a continual factor in the fee. They also follow the recommended teaching rates for this location put forward by the Musician's Union, of which Isaac is a member. This is to avoid undercutting other tutors, whilst still wishing to provide affordable lessons.

Lessons can be 30, 45 or 60 minutes: 30 minutes is ideal for young beginners, 45 for adult beginners and older pupils. 60 minutes for advanced players or those who wish to learn Music Theory in tandem.

Do get in touch with Isaac to organise a lesson in Chiswick or the surrounding areas (within reason and subject to travel costs included), or to request more info!

Has your previous piano learning experience been a bit dull? Are you seeking a fresh approach to piano lessons? In my piano lessons, inspired by the Jacques-Dalcroze method, you'll enjoy a unique musical journey beyond just playing the piano and studying theory. You'll also be singing, improvising on the keyboard, and even moving to the music through dance. Learning piano should never be boring, and it certainly isn’t for me or my students. With me, you’ll discover the countless ways the piano can express music. You’ll explore compositions from various composers, periods, and styles, from the classical works of Mozart, Bach, Debussy, and Chopin, to modern pieces, pop songs, and jazz, including Shostakovich. Through eurhythmics exercises, you'll not only play but also feel the music by moving with it, enhancing your musical knowledge and deepening your emotional connection to sound. If you're unsure about moving with the music, don’t worry—I’ll be there to guide you in finding a way to enjoy and love music. I've played the piano since I was five years old and hold a Bachelor’s degree from the Geneva Music University. More recently, I completed my MA in Interdisciplinary Dance Performance at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. While my teaching experience mainly focuses on children aged 5-10, I am also well-versed in providing music training and piano lessons for adults. Most lessons are 60 minutes long, but I’m happy to adapt the timing and content based on your needs. Please feel free to get in touch if you're interested in lessons. I look forward to sharing my passion for music with you!
