Recent graduate of Oxford University, theology and religion. A*s in A levels and 9s at gcses.
Will provide high level tutoring in any subject (ks2-4, gcse, a level etc) related to my degree subject. These include Religious studies, ethics, philosophy, politics, english (literature at a-level, lit and lang gcse). Can offer subject specific teaching, but also more generally essay writing practice, as well as oxbridge interview, personal statement, and entrance exam help, particularly for students in the state sector. While I cannot guarantee success, I will do my best to relay my experiences and hopefully provide students with helpful guidance.
Classes will be catered specifically according to each student, however I will often ask for them to come along with recent examples of written work, or practice papers/questions.

A friendly, experienced and hard-working recent graduate of Oxford University.
Very profficent at essay writing, and the relevant skills surrounding essay-writing subjects!
I have experience looking after young person with special needs.
I have only recently left higher education, and therefore can sympathise with students facing essay crises, and understand that the way some subjects are taught at gcse and a-level is often difficult for some students who might work better in more close-knit environment. One-to-one tutoring is, I believe, the most effective way that analytical and essay-based subjects can be taught, as it fosters a personalisation that doesn't come with large class teaching.

Approach to Teaching
– I favor a structured approach. I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catering to the student's specific needs.
– Academic lessons tend to be structured around specific sections of the syllabus, or particular topics that students require help with.
– I employ a seminar-style format. I flesh out ideas with the aid of quotations, other audio-visual resources, and analytical commentary. I structure my lesson plans with a view to providing gaps, in which students are able to ask questions about the content. I am also happy for students to interrupt the flow of the lesson if a burning question arises.
– I use Powerpoint to provide students with a variety of resources and visual stimuli.

Lesson Structure
– Academic lessons tend to be 45 minutes to an hour in length, but I can adapt my teaching schedule to provide students with additional support if needed.
– Typically violin lessons range in length from 30 minutes to an hour, but I am flexible: I am more than happy to devise a lesson structure that caters to a student's requirements.

– I am a candidate for a Ph.D. in Music at the University of Cambridge.
– I hold an MPhil in Music from the University of Cambridge, where I specialized in Historical Musicology and Musical Aesthetics.
– I have a first-class music degree (74.4%) from the University of Manchester, where I won three Hargreaves Prizes for Academic Achievement.
– I have worked as an Assistant Music Teacher, which involved teaching Music A-Level students.

– I have worked as a private violin teacher for 7 years (since I was 17). I have taught a variety of students, from beginners starting their instrumental training to more advanced performers looking to improve their technical facility and performance skills.

It is true that the philosopher is the friend of wisdom, but above all, he is someone who does not want to make mistakes in reasoning. Philosophizing is a way of reasoning and a way of solving problems that will never have a perfect and definitive solution. Knowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon is not a problem of philosophy, because it is enough to measure to solve it. On the other hand, knowing, for example, what justice is, is a problem of philosophy. A meter will not be able to help us know the answer. We must go about it differently, and in the courses I offer, I will teach you how.

The basic principle of the courses I offer is dialectics, like Plato's dialogues: reflecting together, making theoretical contributions, asking questions and seeking answers, and testing the validity of reasoning.

For the past 10 years, I have been teaching German using the philosophy methodology, having studied philosophy at the Master's level at Aix-Marseille University. It turns out that the analytical mind is very useful even outside the confines of philosophy. Today, there are even fields of activity such as management with philosophy or philotherapy. In recent years, some German students have asked me to also teach them philosophy courses, and that is why I decided to offer philosophy courses directly.
