Languages of Instruction: Lessons can be conducted in English, German, French, Russian, Hebrew and Bulgarian. This allows for clear, nuanced instruction in the language you are most comfortable with.
Lesson Location & Format: In-person lessons are held in my private studio in Kfar Saba, Israel. For students outside the area or for added convenience, high-quality online lessons are also available via Google Meet.
Your First Lesson: For our first session, please prepare one piece of music you are comfortable with and enjoy singing. This is not an audition but a way for me to get to know your voice and for us to discuss your personal goals.
What to Bring: Please bring a copy of your sheet music, a notebook for taking notes, and a recording device (a smartphone is perfectly fine). Recording your lessons is a powerful tool for tracking your progress.

Hello! My name is Ilia. For me, music is more than a profession—it's a legacy. I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, into a family of renowned Bulgarian musicians and opera singers, and began playing the violin and piano at the age of five.
My passion for music led me to Germany, where I received my Master of Music degree in singing, piano, composition, and conducting from the prestigious Staatliche Musikhochschule Stuttgart. For the past 30 years, I have built a career as an international opera singer, pianist, and conductor. A significant part of this journey was the 15 years I spent as a performing artist at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, where I had the privilege of working alongside legendary maestros like Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Pierre Boulez, and Sir Simon Rattle.
My objective now is to share this wealth of experience and inspire a new generation of musicians. My teaching approach is built on the belief that every student has a unique voice and unique goals.
