I am a professional opera singer who has performed in theatres and concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Romania, and Hong Kong, has won international vocal competitions, been an adjudicator in vocal competitions, and given vocal masterclasses in secondary schools. Currently, I am an official singing and piano teacher at an arts school in London, where my classes are always fully booked.

I have always enjoyed teaching and can teach a wide range of repertoire in English, German, French and Italian. My lessons are mostly in English, but of course I can teach in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese too. As a private singing teacher, all my students have won local and international competitions, and obtained excellent results in their exams. Some of them even decided to choose music and opera as their future careers. Although I am based in the UK at the moment, I still would love to help students who like to learn opera and classical singing in Hong Kong. Do not worry, I am experienced in giving online classes and you will not feel distant from me. You will enjoy my classes.

Yet, I see many more responsibilities being a teacher. Besides sharing knowledge and experience with my students, I am also the person who:
- enlightens my students through their journey of music;
- my students can rely on and talk to;
- influences them to embrace differences and be kind;
- makes them aware of their values and proud of themselves.
I want to be my students' friend and teach them with a humble and empathetic heart. My students like sharing their stories and ideas with me outside the lessons, sometimes about books, sometimes about philosophy, sometimes about the world, sometimes about the industry, sometimes about anything in life. I always make time for my students.

Besides singing, I have been a pianist and piano teacher for 13 years. I was usually the accompanist for my students in their competitions and exams. I am based in the UK at the moment, but I will arrange good accompanists for my students. If I can fly back to Hong Kong when my students take their exams and perform in their competitions, I will accompany them by myself.

More about me:
Born in 1998, Virginia started learning violin at the age of 3, under the tutelage of under Ms Beedarn Chao and Ms Rosa Lam. In 2013, she attained DipABRSM in violin performance and Grade 8 piano one year later. In 2018, Virginia graduated from King’s College London with a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours), under the sponsorship of the “King’s Hong Kong Scholarships” At KCL, she studied violin with tutors from the Royal Academy of Music - Mr. Nicolas Dupont and Ms Georgia Hannant. She also studied composition with Professor Silvina Milstein, Robert Keeley and Dr. Edward Nesbit. Her works have been performed by UK professional musicians and ensembles such as Clare McCaldin and Lontano Ensemble.

Since university, Virginia has been actively teaching primary to form 6 students at King’s St George’s Music Academy (London) and Sevenoaks School, one of the top 5 UK boarding schools. Aiming to branch out in the field of music, Virginia has took up various arts administration and marketing positions in leading ensembles such as the English Music Festival, London City Philharmonic and more since 2016.

A former scholar at the Royal College of Music London, sponsored by The Kenneth and Violet Scott Award, I earned a degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of Nigel Clayton, Peter Jablonski and Ruth Nye. I was also a recipient of Talent Development Scholarship awarded by the Hong Kong Government Scholarship Scheme.

Started learning the piano at the age of 4, I won numerous prizes in different competitions including Asia Piano Open Competition, TOYAMA Asian Youth Music Competition, Inter-School International Performance Challenge and Hong Kong Schools Music Festivals. In 2018, I was also one of the finalists in the Liszt Memorial Prizes Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition.

I am a professional classical pianist from Shanghai, China, having more than 10 years of experience in music teaching. I graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor degree in music (with honors), Australian Institute of Music with a Master Diploma in Arts Management and Master degree in Child and Family Education in The Education University of Hong Kong.

I won various 1st prize in Shanghai, China, Asia divisions and I had some small to large scale of personal concerts in China. I also performed as a singer during 2011-2020.

I have the highest language proficiency certificate in Mandarin Chinese, and I feel most comfortable with teaching in Mandarin. But I am professional in speaking English, Cantonese and Korean as well.

About the teacher:
First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance.
Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as proper pedagogy for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning.
It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life.

About the class:
This class aims to prepare for the ABRSM piano grade 1-8 test at a more intensified pace. The student is supposed to possess certain musical knowledge or required piano skills. The teacher will help the students develop their missing skills to pass the exam. Different students may require different class lengths.

For a child under the age of six, the teacher recommends less time for each class but a higher frequency. Kids who took the piano class twice a week and half an hour each class usually progress faster than those who took it once a week. For kids who practice longer time, it is also advised to take the course longer time. A child who practices two hours a day could play Beethoven's Fur Elise within one year, but for a child who practices less than half an hour per day, this goal usually takes more than four years to achieve.
For adults who have greater self-control, it is advised to take the class for a longer time per class but with less frequency.

About the price:
It’s not fixed, depending on the distance. If the travel time is less than half an hour to the students’ home, the price will be the same as at the teacher’s home.

Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in vocal performance from the Michigan State University, and Master of Music from the world renowned New England Conservatory of music, I currently serve as Adjunct Lecturer at Baptist University, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) and Chinese University.

Past teaching experience also include being guest lecturer at the University of Hong Kong, voice teacher for HKAPA junior program, adjunct lecturer at Macao Polytechnics Institute and Macao University of Science and Technology.

A native of Hong Kong, Frank spent formative years honing his craft as a musician in Australia. He is an alumnus of the Australian Institute of Music, where he studied composition under the guidance of renowned Australian composers Eric Chapus and Drew Crawford.
