"Without music, life would be a mistake" - Nietzsche

If even the philosophers think it is that the music indeed has a universal power which can touch any human being on this earth ...

There is something for everyone, for all ages ... there is everywhere!

Music is what makes me live and passionate more than anything in the world, that's why I like to listen, play and also teach.

The courses that I propose are adapted according to the desires of the student, the music must be a moment of pleasure and sharing.
Whether you are beginner or advanced, we will find a formula that will suit you by combining technical, coordination and sound of the instrument.
The ultimate goal is to have fun on the drums while being attentive to the evolution of a piece and the communication with the musicians who will accompany you.

Styles: rock, pop, funk, groove, afro-cuban, reggae, blues, jazz ...

So, if you think you are driven by the crazy desire to discover (or re-discover with me) this beautiful instrument, meet us!

** I teach in my local (equipped with 2 batteries) in Lausanne at FLON **

IN THE PROGRAM :

- Technical
- Coordination (hands / feet)
- Sound development, typing on the instrument
- Play on music
- rhythmic reading
- Improvisation solo and in a piece

GENRES:

- Electric
- Folk
- Rock
- Jazz
- Blues
- Funk

About Me
Noé Bénita, a French drummer born in Paris in 1995, joined a class of African percussion at the age of five and discovered the drums a few years later. He joined two conservatories in the Paris area and graduated. There he met his teachers and the contact with them resulted in Noah's interest that has developed and made him sensitive to different musical genres and especially for African-American music.
Education
This young drummer / percussionist never stops feeding his passion for music, especially the desire to transmit by teaching the drums to children and adults in the School of Music Rolle and private lessons at home.
Experience / Qualifications
In 2015, he joined the Jazz program of the University of Music of Lausanne (HEMU). He performs regularly in Switzerland and France with different projects mixing Jazz and Rock with FaKa, Hip-hop with Geneva rapper Eriah and Ticino Sisma, Rock Indé with the Paris group Météo Mirage, Pop with the group Beach boy and traditional music from West Africa with Sol Family.
Within the Erkalium group, he mixes the acoustic sounds of drums and electronic machines to play a mix of Techno and House.

The 5 string banjo is an amazing instrument. It's driving trademark sound and it's African roots has contributed to many music traditions, including Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz and world music.

In my class you'll first learn the basics, how to hold and pick and read tablatures. We'll then go through how to play a tune, accompany other instruments and finally, improvise. During the year I'll teach you basic music theory like rhythm, harmony and a bit of ear training to help you develop your understanding and relationship to the instrument.

We'll mainly play Bluegrass Scruggs style at first, then we'll dive into melodic style and sigle string, that will all be useful for playing other kinds of music, like Irish music, Pop, Jazz or Blues. Any requests for a personalised class is welcome. If you'd like inspiration or you want to listen to so fun music, go check out my website !

Music theory lessons, for children (from 9 years old) and adults.

Passionate about music theory and music theory, I would be happy to share with you my enthusiasm for music theory, so unfairly devalued, due to the sometimes brutal methods with which it is taught.

In the program :
- reading notes (treble clefs, C clefs, F clefs)
- reading rhythms (quarter notes, eighth notes, double / triple / quadruple eighth notes, triplets and other dotted notes)
- dictation of notes (training your ear takes time, but when the exercises are "tailor-made" and progressive, you progress faster)
- dictation of rhythms

Do not hesitate to tell me the context of your request (competition preparation, repurposing of instruments, exams, etc.).

The course durations offered are deliberately short to encourage maximum concentration.

It will be essential to prepare the exercises offered between classes, to progress in a way that gives you satisfaction and nourishes your motivation.

Classes available in English as well.

VIOLIN: My lessons cover several aspects necessary for good violin playing and free musical expression: healthy body posture, stable technique, attentive listening, musicality, personal development. It is from these notions that the quality of sound, intonation, bowing technique, technical skill, expression, and many others arise. I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire.

TRANSVERSE FLUTE: My lessons cover several aspects necessary for good playing of the transverse flute and free musical expression: healthy body posture, stable technique, attentive listening, musicality, personal development. It is from these notions that the quality of sound, digital and respiratory technique, intonation, expression, and many others arise. I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire.

SOLFÈGE: My courses cover several aspects necessary for the successful learning of music theory: strategies for recognizing intervals, chords and rhythms and their executions, singing, musical indications, exercises, attentive listening, musicality. These aspects are essential to instrumental practice, because they first allow you to correctly read a score, then analyze and interpret it.

I offer personalized lessons for children and adults. I'm open to your suggestions for pieces, your preferences, and the styles that suit you best! (Classical music, jazz, film music, pop, rock, etc.)
Convinced of the importance of theoretical foundations (particularly music theory and harmony), it is possible to integrate them into the courses so that students develop with solid foundations. This then allows us to understand music in its entirety, around a rich and varied repertoire.
Having also studied improvised music at the Paris Conservatory and being a musician in several groups, I would be happy to be able to share my experience around musical creation as well as in the development of improvisation.
Anyone interested in the instrument and who would like to develop their keyboard skills is welcome, regardless of age.
Looking forward to seeing you again and see you soon!

A little more about my background:

A graduate of the Paris Conservatory, I had the chance to work alongside many exciting pianists and teachers, such as Denis Pascal, Pascal Amoyel, Rena Shereshevskaya and in improvised music Paul Lay and Emil Spányi, who were able, throughout my career, to bring me into musical research and maintain this taste for the instrument.

Being attracted by musical creation, as well as composition, I was also able to study harmony, arrangement, music theory and composition at the Rueil-Malmaison conservatory in the Paris region.

Alongside my musical projects as a classical and jazz pianist and musical composition, I devote myself to my passion for educational transmission.
