Learn Saxophone, Flute & Jazz with a Master’s-Level Musician in Leuven

The flute it’s a quite complex instrument, where the challenge is to find the balance between all the parameter, such as posture(in order to learn how to play fast passage), lips and everything concerning breathing technique(in order to get the best clear and powerful sound). It’ my job to guide the student in order to let him/her find that stability in order to get best results possible.

Graduated in Music - Having studied piano (classical) at the University of Évora (Portugal), Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany) and at the Aquiles Delle Vigne International Music Academy. She is currently studying a Masters in Performance at LUCA School of Arts, Leuven, Belgium. I have a lot of experience in teaching piano and music theory in different musical styles and theoretical/musical training from children to adults, in official conservatories, music schools and private lessons, In my classes I try to share my musical knowledge, both practically and theoretically. The courses are aimed at those who want to have more direct contact with music, whether for the first time or not. I take great pleasure in teaching and I give great importance to each student. I like to choose repertoire that matches both student's musical tastes and technical work in need. I always try to encourage students and provide quality teaching. Voice Lessons will focus on five major areas of study: register balance, breathing, range building, body posture, and repertoire. During your lessons you will learn exercises designed to balance the registers of chest, middle and head voice. These exercises and the knowledge of music theory will help you accomplish any music goal you set for yourself.

I am passionate about teaching guitar! Over the last 10 years I have been teaching students from ages 7-70 from complete beginners to advanced players with one thing in common - their wish to play guitar more comfortably and have fun while doing it! I am a classical guitarist with a background in pedagogy, psychology and physiotherapy, my approach - methodical. While working on the things you want to improve and learn I will also help you develop a deep understanding of the theory and principles that music is built upon. Our lessons will be exploratory and imaginative whilst also underpinned by technical knowledge so that you can enjoy playing comfortably and without pain. My aim is to get you to where you want to be playing guitar, whether that be for friends at New Year or on the stage at Carnegie Hall!

As an artist I was on stage with different projects all over Europe. Seven years of training took me to the Netherlands (Ba Jazz Saxophone), Denmark and Norway (M. Composition and Performance) and recently I obtained a Masters in 'Pop Music' from the University of West London. As a teacher, I work part-time for WISPER, an organization with a strong methodology and its own vision on art education, which focuses on 'active learning'. I bring this vision and methodology to your private lessons: I actively help you with your instrument or musical creation process. Together we draw up a trajectory in which you hold the reins of your own development as a loving musician or artist.

If you want to learn to play the clarinet, make further progress or learn solfège, you've come to the right place! I offer both solfège and clarinet lessons for beginners and more advanced students. I live in Leuven but I am available throughout Brussels and Leuven. Lessons are possible in Dutch, French or English. If you take the time to learn the clarinette, read the progress and receive the course of the solfège, you will enjoy the end! You propose the course of solfège and clarinette for the debutants and the young people plus advances. Your habit in Louvain is always available in Brussels and Louvain. Would you like to learn trumpet, bugle or cornet or are you looking for more depth? I am happy to help you! I studied trumpet at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and built up a lot of pedagogical skills through my Educational Master Music and Performing Arts at LUCA School of Arts and experience as a teacher. I have worked with students of all ages, it is never too late to start (again)! The lessons can range from rather technical to musical, exploring different genres. As a teacher I am flexible, everything is tailored to the student. The goal is that you can develop yourself with pleasure on the instrument. I can also provide support with music theory. My goal is to teach the student how to play in playing the Saxophone, be it in classical music, pop, jazz, ... of my students, I expect them to have fun playing music and that they show it by doing their best without having to be a rut to play the instrument.

As a young student, I am often closer to the practice of teaching and can sense where the student's goals lie. Very flexible throughout the week and weekends, either at the student's home, at my grand piano, or possibly online (especially music theory).

I am a flute player based in Leuven. I obtained my master degree in flute in September 2020 at LUCA School of Arts and I am currently beginning bachelor music therapy. In 2017 I obtained my diploma in Pedagogical Formation. As a teacher I have taught flute in different schools and to students of any age. Due to my pedagogical studies in Dokuz Eylül University, I have full knowledge of training approaching to students in different age ranges. I welcome learners of all skill levels, from beginners who are completely new, to those with some childhood experience, to the advanced level players who need of fresh inspiration. I believe that everyone has an ear for music to some degree and that anyone can learn how to play succesfully. Lessons are individually and carefully adapted to the student’s age, level, and desired outcome.
