The language of the wiksunde is one that is widely used in today's world to solve problems. It can help us find patterns in nature and make predictions that help us improve our world. In addition, it is also a form of self-development and learning to understand abstract concepts. By dealing with mathematics in a creative and playful way, we can better place ourselves in a society in which technological progress is central, we can better understand what we are or have been taught at school, and we can find pleasure and challenge in problem-solving thinking.

I offer a range of knowledge about mathematics and physics, from basic principles such as multiplication to the principles of quantum mechanics and general relativity, with the main aim of increasing curiosity in the world. And if, for example, I can help someone with this to get through their school year, or develop a broader understanding of our place in the universe, I do it with pleasure and passion. The idea is that students themselves indicate what they want to learn more about and that we work on this together. And if there's a general interest in math and physics, then I'll be able to find plenty of interesting things until an interesting topic is found that we can delve into.

Keep learning, stay curious, and hopefully see you soon :)

About Me
Hey,

My name is Myrddin :)
I am a young man with many interests and my goal is to help myself and others live a healthier, happier and more valuable life. I do this myself by immersing myself in science, spirituality, health, art, music and mobility, and share this with others with great pleasure and passion!
I already have a lot of experience with teaching, mainly with parkour lessons at Cirkus in Beweging. This is something I've been doing for 7 years, and I've taught every age between 5 and 60+ in the meantime. I also helped give kung fu classes to children and adults at the KULeuven, and plan to do more. And related to science, I completed my Bachelor in Physics at the KULeuven last year, and I would like to share this knowledge.

I am very flexible in teaching and prefer to look at a student's interests and strengths to build on. And I also have a lot of patience and respect for the things that are more difficult. I know very well from experience that everyone learns differently and can already do other things, and I try to transform this into the development of an individual strength.

More specifically, I offer teaching moments in mathematics and physics, kung fu, parkour, drawing and painting, and spiritual deepening, always aiming to learn and discover together, and not to blindly pass on knowledge and skills. I believe a personal approach is an important step in the development of both children and adults, and will lead to a better understanding of who we are and who we want to become.

I still have a lot to learn myself, and I know that I already have a lot to offer.

Greetings and have a nice day!
Education
I completed my secondary education at the Sint-Albertus college in haasrode with the direction of mathematics sciences (8 hours wiksunde). After that I lived in China for a year and got to know the language and culture there better, after which I started the Bachelor in Physics at the KULeuven. I completed this between September 2017 and September 2021 with a minor in astronomy and IT, with subjects such as quantum mechanics, particle physics, electrodynamics and general relativity.

I have 7 years of experience as a parkour teacher, 2 years as a kung fu teacher and 23 years of spiritual growth and philosophical questioning.

Being creative with self-expression in the form of drawing and painting has been a way of people for thousands of years to shape their inner world, to leave something behind, and to exchange ideas with others. For me it is a form of finding peace, and so everyone will have their own motivation.

The idea of the lesson is to look together at different techniques (such as drawing perspective or learning to mix colors), to find new techniques on our own, and to apply these techniques to create drawings that we can be proud of. This is not to say that every painting will be beautiful, but that there is a story of personal experiences behind it that we can respect and learn from.

More specifically, the lessons may focus on drawings and paintings made with pencils, colored pencils, markers and watercolors. We can do separate exercises with this, make a big mess of everything together, and everything in between. The techniques I offer are mainly focused on perspective drawing, mixing and choosing colors, drawing shadows and different methods of dealing with watercolors. With these techniques in hand, it will be easier and more fun to pick up your pencil and fill a white sheet with something magical, namely yourself!

Furthermore, I like to put a great emphasis on personal creativity and self exploration! Every work of art has a certain beauty, with which age and education have nothing to do. By expressing ourselves on paper we get to know ourselves and the world in which we live better and an opportunity for growth is created.

Stay creative, keep exploring, and hopefully see you soon :)

Whether you are young or old, mobility and body control can help us in every aspect of our lives. It gives us strength, flexibility and self-confidence. It keeps us healthy and ensures that we have more energy during the day. The combination of parkour and kung fu gives a very broad picture of how we can use our bodies, training almost every muscle we have!

For me, parkour and kung fu are two sports that I really enjoy! In my view, parkour is mainly about reading an environment and moving around in it both creatively and efficiently. It is a relatively new sport that is getting more and more attention these days. In contrast, the ancient traditions and wisdom of the Chinese martial art, kung fu. Here it is more about the relationships we have with others, whether they are friendly and respectful, or life-threatening. With kung fu we learn to control ourselves and develop respect and love for everyone. The combination of the two sports gives a very special picture of how we can playfully and respectfully deal with our environment, allowing us to relax and powerfully connect ourselves with our body and mind.

More specifically, there are many different techniques and exercises that we can practice on. This ranges from basic movements such as precision to backflips, and from the 8 basic poses to long and complicated kung fu forms. The idea is not to drill really hard on this until the fun has been knocked out, on the contrary!! The plan is to be creative and look for new ideas together, to apply learned techniques in challenging situations, and to make our bodies and minds stronger!

Stay strong, stay flexible, and hopefully see you soon :)

Mathematics and Physics tutoring for secondary and primary education (also at home). Master Commercial Engineer KUL with a Science-Mathematics-8 and Civil Engineering background.

ABOUT THIS LESSON:
I offer tutoring in Python programming and mathematics for university and college students. I also support secondary school and primary school students in all scientific subjects.

I start by (if available) using your old tests to determine together with you (and possibly your parents) what specific difficulties you have. In addition, we will have a short conversation in which you can explain to me which issues you have experienced as the most difficult and would like to focus more on.

My focus is on ensuring that the student is able to find the solution independently, step by step, and I help where necessary by providing mini-tips to get to the next step together. This makes my method much more personalized than standard classroom teaching. When I notice that a student has difficulty independently coming up with the correct editing steps, I create a concise step-by-step plan tailored to that specific subject so that the student begins to see more structure in the learning material. At the same time, I ensure that the underlying theory is thoroughly understood by linking it to self-invented exercises and practical examples from the student's personal environment, which makes learning easier and more lasting.

ABOUT NICK:
I am a 22-year-old master's student in Commercial Engineering at KU Leuven. I started tutoring my sister, nephews, nieces and friends and I get a lot of satisfaction from improving and helping others when they come to me for help.

Because I have been tutoring consistently for 4 years, I have the right resources to present learning material in an understandable way and to strengthen the motivation, concentration and independent study of my students. In addition, I have a lot of experience with children and didactic teaching techniques from my tennis initiator diploma. Ranging from first to sixth secondary school, from 2 hours to 6 hours of mathematics per week and everything in between, I have guided students of all directions and levels, with a successful outcome every time.

I don't give up until I'm sure a student understands the material well enough and I see them making progress. By always appearing enthusiastic, I ensure that together we do not let the drudgery of difficult subjects get any further than the school desks.

I am flexible in making appointments and am open to every student. This can be done at a fixed time every week or lesson by lesson. I provide tutoring at your home (I can travel by car), at my home (Kampenhout), in my student room (Leuven) or online.

If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can discuss the practicalities in more depth. Together we can both make a schedule and work lesson by lesson to achieve your personal academic goals or those of your child.
