Drum lessons for beginners and intermediate players
From 32.13 £ /h
Hello everyone,
Playing the drums is, above all, about making music. It's all about dynamics and nuance. Knowing how to create space, listen to the music, and play it is what transforms a simple rhythm into an unforgettable groove. Let's work together to give your playing power, fluidity, and personality!
Working on pieces and improvisations and working with clicks.
We apply all of this quite quickly to pieces of music: but we also create our own breaks and grooves!
We'll work together on your rhythmic placement, your subdivisions (eighth notes, sixteenth notes, triplets, shuffles... anything goes!) and your interpretation with a click track, because without a solid tempo, there's no magic. 💪
Method and Motivation: Whether you're a beginner or looking to take your drumming to the next level, I adapt to your skill level and goals. We'll work in a fun and supportive atmosphere, using effective exercises and backing tracks. Ready to get your drums rolling? Contact me to book your first lesson.
✅My teachers over the years: Dominique Hamet (Agostini method) primarily, but also Pierrick Destrebecq, Mariana Ramirez, and Sylvio Iascio. 🎧Groups I play or have played in (currently)
Washed Kitten
Past experience - Big Heart, Peter Kernel, Say What!?, McCandless, EE, ...I can't wait to get started!
See you soon,
Pierre

About Me
Hello,
My name is Pierre. I am a language teacher of Belgian nationality having studied at the ULB. I graduated (Master in Modern Languages and Literatures in English and Spanish) since August 2013. I started working on 2/09/2013 and am a full-time language teacher since then.
On the other hand, I work a lot drums, instrument that I practice actively since the age of 15 years. I started the music at 3 years old and I practiced the cello from my 3 to my 15 years.
Say What!?, Pretty Heart, Stephen Etienne, Mccandless, Moaning Cities, Peter Kernel (2017)
==> Drummer for all these projects over time ;-)
.
I was born in 1988, so I'm 29 years old. I think work is essential but it's never as effective as having fun. From then on, I adopt a pleasant work environment so that the student can evolve at his ease but keeping a discipline of work which will enable him to feel the effects of the courses on the short, medium and long term.
I am open to more specific queries and queries (English marketing, etc.) even though my courses are mainly aimed at students in humanity or eager to practice the language for a year abroad.
Sincerely,
Pierre
