Hello!

I'm Rob, a native accent-less, North American English speaker and long-time voice artist (voice over industry). My success as a voice artist over the years has depended on clear, accurate enunciation and pronunciation as well as grammatically correct use of the English language.

I offer to help you practice and hone your conversational English skills in a relaxed and casual atmosphere over coffee in a quiet café, or perhaps browsing in a Brocky, or strolling through a charming Swiss village - you can choose a comfortable and useful activity where we can chat while you refine your English speaking and understanding skills.

I can assist you by:
- helping with your pronunciation and losing any Swiss, German or other accent that impacts your proper English speaking
- guide your use of English sentences and sentence structure towards a more natural and "native" delivery
- correct common errors that non-native speakers regularly make when speaking English
- help you be more relaxed in your English conversations, helping you excel in your business and social English conversations.

My offer is not for structured English and grammar lessons (there are plenty of tutors and schools for such lessons) but rather I offer to help you become more fluid and comfortable in speaking and conversing in the English language.

Extra information

I work with intermediate English speakers and up - my offer is not really suitable for beginners. Also, I am happy to work with (and relate well to) teens from age 16 as well as adults. I can also coach children from ages 7 or 8 to age 15 but only by special arrangement with a parent or guardian present (who can practice too!).

I can travel within Basel and Basel land however travel times from my location in Gelterkinden are over 20 minutes travel time for me. It would be best if you are farther away that we meet somewhere in the middle by arrangement.

About Me

I'm an American who has lived in Europe and Switzerland with my Swiss partner for many years. I am also a professional voice talent, narrator and character voice artist with a degree in Theater Arts/Acting. I've been a public speaker and public relations representative for multiple companies over my career as well as an amateur stage actor and singer. Oh and i also love cats! :-)

Education

I have a Theater Arts/European Art History BA degree from the University of Minnesota, in the United States. There I studied acting, voice and singing training for stage performance.
