My name is Eva, A Kingston School of Art graduate with tutoring experience. I have a creative outlook on life and believe children should express themselves with art, but just need the right teacher. I can teach anything from basic knowledge of materials to how to get into art school and A level help.

However, to achieve the mastery to utilise consciously and productively this freedom, with both joy and confidence, with value and satisfaction, you need to have the 'tools' and attain certain skills to guide, facilitate, and uncover your potential. To succeed in Fine Art, we need to open our ways of thinking. Oftentimes, we can feel stuck, lost or uninspired. In this class, I will teach you how to move forward in these moments; how to produce a healthy momentum in yourself to find excitement in your projects and push through them to the finishing point.

Fine Art is unlike any subject in that it really comes from the individual. There is no "right way", but if there is no discernible path, where do we go? For the past eight years, I’ve worked as a technician and tutor at the Royal College of Art and UAL, supporting students in fashion, fine art, and product design with their Rhino and Blender projects.

Before that, I worked as a model maker, and now I’m focused on teaching and creating fine art.

I am an oil pastel lover who turns to this medium again and again — when I’m happy, tired, bored, overwhelmed, or simply longing to be surrounded by colour. Oil pastels have accompanied me through many moments of life, always offering comfort, freedom, and expression.

Every time I paint with oil pastels, I find a sense of relaxation and inner peace — something increasingly precious in our fast-paced world.

Oil pastels are, to me, a truly magical material. They can be firm or soft, bold or delicate, layered or blended. With just your hands and simple tools, they invite both control and spontaneity, making them perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike.

In an age where AI can generate endless images, I believe deeply in preserving the human act of creation — the joy of touching materials, playing with colour, and allowing emotions to flow through the hands. Painting is not just about making images; it is about reconnecting with ourselves.
