Nim is an amazing bass player and he transfers his supreme knowledege of the instrument conscientiously and patiently. I have only had a few lessons but my knowledege has improved considerably and my playing is now going in a firm direction. He is really easy going and makes me feel comfortable during the lessons. His enthusiasm for the bass is infectious and i genuinely admire him a lot. Sym Gharial

Nim will always match your expectations and will be able to make you progress whatever the style of music you like and want to learn. Whether you want to learn Jazz and advanced theory to improvise walking bass lines and solos or more complicated rhythms like Funk or just play along songs he will always have the right exercise to make your goal reachable. Nim is the perfect teacher for any levels as he is very patient and adapt the pace of the lessons to your learning ability. Also you go and see him live, this will give a big boost in your inspiration and motivation to practice as he is incredible on stage.

Although I have temporary suspended my bass playing to concentrate on piano, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Nim - he is a good teacher, patient and careful, keen to help you learn to play the style you want to. I would also recommend to go and see him play live - this in itself inspired me a lot, not to mention it was a great evening's entertainment!

I have been having bass lessons with Nim for about 8 months and have really progressed a lot in that time. Nim has a natural teaching ability, making lessons enjoyable and progressive so your repertoire continues to expand. He is also quite involved in the live music scene and has given me good advice and tips about getting into a band. He has a real love for bass and that shows in his attitude and enthusiasm toward teaching his students.

Nim is a nice person and a empathetic teacher. As such, he is very careful when starting a lesson to ensure he caters to each student's specific, needs, style, skill level and learning objectives. Nim is a very talented bass player, is humble in his approach and has a vast knowledge of music theory which provides solid foundations for learning the craft of bass playing. I would recommend Nim's classes to anyone looking to improve their bass playing!

In the short time I've studied bass with Nim I've noticed tremendous improvement in both my playing and understanding of music. He puts a lot of thought into his lessons and has developed a structured routine to help me improve. On top of that, his patient and encouraging teaching style, as well as his positive personality, make for a truly zen learning experience. He's also an amazing bass player!

Education

I started to play the bass guitar at the age of 12 and I started to take private bass lessons with some of the best bass teachers Israel has to offer.

I also studied at 'Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music'

Experience / Qualifications

In the past 15 years of bass lessons in both privately and in various schools I have taught bass to over 160 students for varying ages and abilities (absolute beginner to advance), from 6 year old children to adult.

I have gigged, toured and recorded for various different bands and artists in the USA, Israel and the UK, during the past 20 years of bass playing.

I teach from home where I have three basses, two bass amps, one keyboard and a computer with music programs, drum beats, playbacks, books/videos and everything I need to teach.

I can also travel to your home for extra in Central London, Zones 1 and 2.

Guitar and bass in English! Guitar, Electric Bass and Song Production!
I'm a musician, teacher and DJ from New York City. In the Geneva area teaching kids and adults, from absolute beginners to intermediate and advanced students. We use songs that students like, tailoring classes to the individual student. As well as teaching privately and through Aprentus, I've been a teacher at La Grande Boissière and GEMS Academy in Etoy. Parents and School references available on request. In New York city, I was an adjunct professor teaching for 4 years at Long Island University in Brooklyn. The courses were in music software programs (Reason, Garageband, Ableton). Students learnt to produce and mix their own songs in various styles — hip hop, reggae, house, electro as well as music for animation and film. In addition, I've composed music for television and have a long history of DJing in NY clubs and releasing music, vinyl and digital which I've continued to do since moving to Geneva.

Electric bass and music theory classes for all ages and levels. In Barcelona and Online.
I'm Alfredo, I graduated from the Electric Bass Jazz and Modern Music performance course at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu and later graduated from the Master's in Jazz Performance at Codarts University of the Arts. My methodology is based on adapting the content of the class and the way of teaching it to the needs and learning process of the student. The most efficient way to learn music is through motivation and for this reason I place great emphasis on the idea of working on the music that the student listens to. No matter what genre of music we work on, any type of music can make you improve in all aspects. During the classes I try to cover the following points: - Technique and knowledge of the instrument. - Perception and rhythmic execution. - Theory applied to composition and improvisation. - Development of the melodic and harmonic ear. For students who are just starting out, I emphasize the idea of learning from the experience of playing and understanding the instrument and I let the theoretical part appear naturally once there is already a certain connection with the instrument.

Rita
Creative bass guitar lessons where the songs are central
Bass guitar lessons with a holistic, "all-round" character. We will practice the lessons together and we will use your best songs for this. I believe that if you have deep emotional contact with a piece of music, the learning process will also become faster, cozier and smoother! Our main themes: - technique and overview of the bass (where?) - general music theory, ear training (why?) - creative improvisation and composition (what?) - rhythm, tempo, phrasing and feeling (how?) For adults and teenagers, lessons last 1 hour. For all levels from absolute beginner to conservatory level.

Fun Guitar lessons (online) for beginners (all ages)!
Learn guitar from an experienced musician from Germany! I have played guitar for more than twenty years now and played over a hundred gigs with different bands (rock, pop, singer/songwriter, cover). My method is a very simple one - tell me, what you would like to play, and I will teach you to play it in a few lessons. No musical background knowledge is needed, and we will not dive too far into music theory. My lessons are all about fun and learning quickly and without many difficulties.

Bass lessons and music understanding from scratch, music theory for begginers

Also bass guitar lessons, how to start playing bass or improve for intermediate level players.

Justin
Guitar/Bass/Ukulele Lessons! Over 15 years teaching experience
My main teaching philosophy is to teach students to play the music they enjoy. It sounds like a no-brainer but I have had teachers in the past who only showed me songs that they enjoyed or used method books that teach you "Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Hot Crossed Buns" (and if you like those songs then we can learn those). All that to say, whatever the student's goal on the instrument, I will take them step by step until they reach it. For a beginning musician, the fundamentals of the instrument are given the highest priority: how to tune your instrument, names of all the notes, essential chords, basic strumming, playing in time and understanding basic rhythm. For someone who already plays but needs a little help getting out of the rut, we'll spend time fixing bad technical habits, hammering home the fundamentals, expanding their repertoire, and slowly moving outside of the comfort zone to new horizons. With advanced players, listening (ear training), transcribing, song analysis, exploring advanced theory concepts, and focusing on composition and improvisation are most important. With all levels of students, I make playlists that I update after each lesson they can hear real examples of what we are covering, as well as provide detailed written notes in TAB and standard notation so they can refer to everything we covered and know what to practice. Also, it's fun!

Tin
University graduate and professional musician teaches double bass and electric bass for all levels - Vienna/Online
Hello, my name is Tin and I teach double bass, electric bass and music theory. I completed a master's degree in jazz double bass and electric bass at the Graz University of Art and specialize in popular music, jazz and improvisation. In my teaching method, I like to track each student's progress with a personal practice chart and work plan. I like to use exercise apps, books and various tools to further develop individual musicality. I teach both complete beginners and those who already have in-depth musical knowledge in areas such as jazz, the basics of the classical double bass, funk and RnB, rock and indie, but also music theory, jazz theory and jazz harmony. I teach in Vienna, but also online. The duration of the lessons is flexible. I look forward to your call!
