Nim is an amazing bass player and he transfers his supreme knowledege of the instrument conscientiously and patiently. I have only had a few lessons but my knowledege has improved considerably and my playing is now going in a firm direction. He is really easy going and makes me feel comfortable during the lessons. His enthusiasm for the bass is infectious and i genuinely admire him a lot. Sym Gharial

Nim will always match your expectations and will be able to make you progress whatever the style of music you like and want to learn. Whether you want to learn Jazz and advanced theory to improvise walking bass lines and solos or more complicated rhythms like Funk or just play along songs he will always have the right exercise to make your goal reachable. Nim is the perfect teacher for any levels as he is very patient and adapt the pace of the lessons to your learning ability. Also you go and see him live, this will give a big boost in your inspiration and motivation to practice as he is incredible on stage.

Although I have temporary suspended my bass playing to concentrate on piano, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Nim - he is a good teacher, patient and careful, keen to help you learn to play the style you want to. I would also recommend to go and see him play live - this in itself inspired me a lot, not to mention it was a great evening's entertainment!

I have been having bass lessons with Nim for about 8 months and have really progressed a lot in that time. Nim has a natural teaching ability, making lessons enjoyable and progressive so your repertoire continues to expand. He is also quite involved in the live music scene and has given me good advice and tips about getting into a band. He has a real love for bass and that shows in his attitude and enthusiasm toward teaching his students.

Nim is a nice person and a empathetic teacher. As such, he is very careful when starting a lesson to ensure he caters to each student's specific, needs, style, skill level and learning objectives. Nim is a very talented bass player, is humble in his approach and has a vast knowledge of music theory which provides solid foundations for learning the craft of bass playing. I would recommend Nim's classes to anyone looking to improve their bass playing!

In the short time I've studied bass with Nim I've noticed tremendous improvement in both my playing and understanding of music. He puts a lot of thought into his lessons and has developed a structured routine to help me improve. On top of that, his patient and encouraging teaching style, as well as his positive personality, make for a truly zen learning experience. He's also an amazing bass player!

Education

I started to play the bass guitar at the age of 12 and I started to take private bass lessons with some of the best bass teachers Israel has to offer.

I also studied at 'Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music'

Experience / Qualifications

In the past 15 years of bass lessons in both privately and in various schools I have taught bass to over 160 students for varying ages and abilities (absolute beginner to advance), from 6 year old children to adult.

I have gigged, toured and recorded for various different bands and artists in the USA, Israel and the UK, during the past 20 years of bass playing.

I teach from home where I have three basses, two bass amps, one keyboard and a computer with music programs, drum beats, playbacks, books/videos and everything I need to teach.

I can also travel to your home for extra in Central London, Zones 1 and 2.

(Bass) Guitar, Music theory and Solfège in Wittevrouwen, Utrecht
Hello (future) musician! Do you also have a song in your head that you would like to play? Always wanted to play electric or acoustic guitar or bass guitar? Have you never touched a string, or are you advanced and looking for new challenges? I have been giving guitar lessons since 2007 with great pleasure. In addition to these private lessons, I worked at the Guitar Academy in Amsterdam, at Muziekles Den Bosch and at Art in Music in Utrecht, next to my work as an executive musician. I studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg and Musicology at Utrecht University. Broad interests, reflected in the hoevelheid styles I play and education (from pop and rock to salsa, tango and gypsy to metal and jazz). I also give solfège and music theory. It does not matter how exotic your interest, I can help you get better! In addition, I can choose and arrange songs for you, so that there is no limit to your imagination: learn to play what you want to learn to play. These lessons are not given in a large, impersonal music school: lesson duration and lesson dates are discussed and are flexible. Personal and smooth, easier for everyone. Besides guitar enthusiast teaching is a big passion of mine, and I think that is essential to be able to offer good lessons. Whether I teach you how to play your first songs in a few lessons, or whether we are going to pick up some tough pieces, it is a pleasant and productive learning process. Lessons in Wittevrouwen, Utrecht or at extra cost at home. If you have questions, mail or call!

Juan

All ages and levels! Throughout these 14+ years of teaching (at universities, music schools and private students), I have tailored my lessons to be always goal / project oriented and using your preferred music to explore, discover and master the instrument while having fun and developing your creativity. The lessons are designed specifically to meet your needs as a musician. Whether you are starting with the basics of the instrument, or whether you have enough experience and you would like to deepen your knowledge of the instrument to communicate though different musical manners, I would gladly like to help you reach your full musical potential. I have been involved with music education as a music teacher and music teaching researcher. I have experience with children, young students and adults in setups like private lessons, schools, music schools and universities. From pop, latin, rock, jazz, funk, metal and everything in between. Whatever genre you identify yourself with, I can help you to improve. E-Bass / Harmony All the way from incorporating rhythm and being one with the groove, to understanding the harmony through your instrument, the bass, as an extension of your musical voice is a rich an potent tool that can be used and controlled through refining your technique, role understanding and starting a journey through it's endless sound possibilities. Guitar for Beginners I can help you out starting on the guitar. Start learning the guitar with a very intuitive and practical approach, take on the rudiments directly from songs and the music you enjoy listening. Band Coaching If you have reached a point where you would like to take the next step with your band, it is always good to have an outsider opinion to help you improve in your musical, song writing and performing processes. Then to count with a great consultant in the management and logistics department is the second step in order to have a strong standpoint as a performing artist. Music Theory I have experience at bachelor level with popular music and jazz ear training, academic research for the Javeriana university in Bogotá about the use of the ear and playing by ear in folclore contexts in Colombia.

Jp
Bass lessons, guitar, composition and MAO
I teach guitar lessons, bass, writing, arrangement and MAO for all levels in Toulouse, in the Saint-Michel district. My strong point: the courses for beginners. I suggest you learn to play your instrument and especially to learn music. The courses are individual and personalized. You work on the pieces you want to play. I build the educational path based on these pieces, your expectations and your level (beginner to professional). I focus on music, language, expression, interpretation, perception of rhythm and sounds. Music is a living language. You did not learn your native language by reading a dictionary or grammar treatise. You have acquired your language by practicing, listening, imitating. Music theory is the equivalent of writing and will only be used if you really need it or want it. The music theory and the theoretical notions will be introduced as the pieces you play contain them. Thus, you can better understand their origin and especially the usefulness they can have for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you want more information.

Private Bass Guitar Lessons in Chambéry or nearby.
I propose courses of bass at home in Chambéry center towards the Curial or at your house for all levels. Having already studied two years at the Apejs in Chambery, I am now at the conservatory cycle CEPI. I will teach you the different aspects of bass (technical and / or theoretical), adapting myself of course to your desires and your level!

Stéphane
Guitar / Bass Course and theory for Beginners / Intermediate Online.
I suggest you to discover the joys of music through learning guitar and / or bass! I have already given many lessons to beginners in guitar / bass / drums / theory and I can say: 5/10 min enough to have fun and sound the instrument, no need for years of experience for that. The courses will be at your own pace, depending on what you want to do and if you want to do theory (we can not do it at all!). In the program : - Notes / Agreements (the basics to have fun right now) - Rhythm (start by learning your favorite songs) - Effects (hammer / pull, slides, vibrato, ...) - Solos (it's easier than we think!) - Intervals / Ranges / Modes ... There is nothing more satisfying than seeing what you are capable of. It's often easier than you think. You can give free rein to your imagination with a snap of your fingers (and there is no age to start!).

José
Bass Guitar, Guitar and Music Theory in Amsterdam.
Hello! My name is José and I am a bass player from Santiago, Chile. As a Latin-American musician I grew up immersed in a wide range of styles and rhythms, listening to music coming from the US and Europe, as well as all the local music from the continent. In this way, I developed myself through playing diverse styles such as jazz, rock, pop, funk, hip-hop, samba and salsa. Being versatile has given me the opportunity to play with people from different cultures and, regardless of the styles I have played, there is always this magic and thrill that brings me tremendous joy when playing my instrument, this is something I love about music and that I feel passionate to transmit when teaching music. Either working on the fundamentals of technique or music theory, or developing a more advanced playing in different styles and contexts, I always strive to bring insight and understanding over our music practice, I believe this is a key factor in being able to connect with our creativity in a practical way. Normally, a lesson would be part of a cycle of lessons, involving a strategy specially adapted to the student's needs, enabling them to grow in specific areas of their music practice. Therefore, it is a holistic method which aims to connect the intellectual, physical, emotional and social areas of the student and to put them into practice when performing a repertoire, which is usually the goal set for our lessons. You are invited to book a trial lesson with 50% off. Hope to see you soon at our first lesson. Looking forward to playing with you, José

Bass Lessons in The Hague! Learn how to play your favoirute tunes on electric or double bass!
I am a master student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with two bachelor degrees in electric bass (Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia di Roma) and double bass (Royal Conservatory of The Hague). Thanks to my experience in performing and teaching, I offer a program based on playing: I truly believe that in music the practical part comes before the theory! Learn how to play something (a song, a classical sonata, a jazz tune or anything you want) and learn the theory from it!

Guitar Classes for Rock, Jazz, Classical and Bass Guitar
Hi, Do you want to be able to play the songs you love? Or even compose your own songs? I'm a guitar teacher with a University Master degree with honors in jazz composition and technology. I have over 18 years of teaching experience in private schools, university and through master classes of guitar (classical, jazz, bass and rock). I also teach music theory for beginning and advanced students - children and adults (references are available). Have the experience to prepare children for entrance exams for professional music schools. No previous experience or knowledge is needed for the beginners – we can start from scratch. Great with kids of any age and help them to find their own style and stand in music. I can adequately address any of your music interests (pop, jazz, rock, blues, reggae, soul) during practice. If you take more than 5 classes, I will develop your individual result oriented program specifically for you based on your experience, goals, interests, and frequency of classes with a particular plan for results set for each class. All my classes are tailor-made for the interests of my students, who do make quick progress and I can guarantee to deliver those results. Recently I’ve released my jazz album, and in the past, I’ve recorded with both rock bands and my own jazz quartet. As a composer, I can teach you the theory and practice of music composition (jazz included). So we can practice the guitar while playing your favorite songs, or I can teach you how to compose your own. We can meet at my place (Versoix) or at your location or by Skype. Languages spoken are English, German and Turkish.
