Mathilde is very nice and reliable. She takes time to explain everything and teaches in an encouraging way.I can definitely recommend her.
Mathilde proved to be an excellent violin teacher for my 10-year old daughter. She was very rigorous and patient, while making the class fun enough to keep the student engaged, she definitely connects well with children and has a good method. We highly recommend Mathilde as a very professional teacher and wish her a lot of success in her musical future.

Apollonia Maria
Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Private violin lessons, Music Theory, Technical and Musical Skills
My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I can teach in English or French and of course in my mother tongue Albanian.

Alessio
CNSMDP graduate gives harpsichord, basso continuo and music theory lessons
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The courses will be based on the student's requirements. The method that I propose is aimed at acquiring an understanding of each musical aspect so that the student can achieve complete autonomy from the point of view of interpretation. Starting with technical aspects of the instrument (position, flexibility, relaxation) we will address all aspects of interpretation, in particular the fundamental notions of improvisation. TRAINING: License in harpsichord at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Prof. Francesco Corti and Master in harpsichord and basso continuo at the CNSMDP with professors Olivier Baumont and Blandine Rannou. In the same establishment I also attended teaching courses. I am a winner of several international competitions. Looking forward to meeting you to share all my experience of musical and educational training and to spend moments of happiness in music!

Professional violinist is giving lessons of violin online! Learn to play violin and enjoy every lesson! 😊
In this violin course you will learn a foundation in learning one of the most rewarding instruments in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Grip the bow, hold the violin, have the perfect hand position and enjoy playing the strings while learning how to read the notes, the violin rhythm and technique. Students will generally learn better if they feel a connection developing with their teacher, whether that’s through humour, showing care about their development, or making sure teacher devote time equally to all students when in a group. You will not regret. 😊

Gives drum lessons (electronic and acoustic)
Hello, I like to transmit and exchange with my students. Seeing them understand and progressing is essential and very rewarding for me. My lessons are based on an academic method focused on learning music theory and instrumental practice. I bring a specific method adapted to the profiles of my students (age, availability, tastes, motivation, "anti-music theory"). I try to make my students independent, help them develop their listening skills, their sense of rhythm and transmit to them an efficient working method. All styles, all levels: pop, rock, funk, jazz, blues, soul, reggae, latin

I sang solo and in chorus the role of the Trojan woman in Campra's Idomenée in 2021 at the Lille Opera and the Berlin Staatsoper, staging of the fura dels baus, I also sang the solo of Campra's Requiem at the philharmonies of Luxembourg, Lille, Essen Cologne and Berlin with the Concert d'Astrée in 2019 directed by Emmanuelle Haïm. In 2019, I participated in the production of Les Indes Galantes by Rameau with the Namur Choir at the Opera Bastille, directed by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon and directed by Clement Cogitore. In 2022, I participated in numerous productions, notably with the Accentus choir in Beethoven's 9th symphony, the missa solemnis or even a polyphonic baroque project. In 2022 I participated in the production of Hulda by Cesar Franck with the Namur Choir at the Grand Manège de Namur, the Liège Philharmonic and the Théatre des Champs Elysées. My background as well as my skills in lyrical singing allow me to master my instrument well. I am a very curious and very patient person, and I like to find solutions to problems. Transmitting my passion to students wishing to discover or develop their voices, discover their artistic personality would be a great pleasure for me. If I can transmit this joy that I have from singing as well as my acquired knowledge, it would be a great exploration for them as for me.

Piano/Keyboard Lessons (Music Theory, Aural Training, Sight Reading, Composition and Performance)
Music is a globally recognized form of expression that connects and unites us in various ways. As a musician, I have tried to inspire people from different walks of life to feel the joy and love of playing the piano and creating music. I have composed music for multiple bands, played for choirs, and accompanied many influential artists. I cleared the Grade 8 examination from Trinity College of Music, London in piano performance. My main goal as a music teacher is not just to provide training and lessons, but to inspire students to continue to learn and gain skills on their own and master the art of music composition. I offer classes both at the student's location and my own. My curriculum blends aural training, sight reading, performance, and composition (tailored to each student's proficiency level).

Damien
Conservatory student gives lessons in guitar, music theory and musical composition (all styles)
Graduated from a license in musicology, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies at the conservatory in the scholarly disciplines of composition, analysis, writing, musical arrangement as well as Jazz. I have been playing guitar for many, many years now, as well as piano and flute. I have been teaching guitar, piano, flute and musical education for several years now to children, teenagers and adults. I also have a very good level in music theory, writing (jazz and classical), harmony as well as musical composition. My classes are based on listening as well as the development of the musical ear and musical creativity. I try to transmit my passion for music by making my students discover very varied horizons, from jazz to classical music, including current music and so-called traditional music. I also seek to develop autonomy in my students, an essential quality in order to flourish both musically and in everyday life. This is why I insist on the knowledge of the instrument and the development of creativity through the teaching of applied music theory and the development of the ear. My course is aimed at both beginners and people of an intermediate or advanced level who would like to improve their skills. If you are looking for a teacher who is both an educator and attentive to your personal musicality, do not hesitate to contact me.

Fernando
Violin and viola teacher (Français - Español - English )
"Talent is developed through practice..." - Shinichi Suzuki I have been giving violin lessons for 10 years, my working method is based on the Suzuki method, the mother tongue method. A child first learns to speak before learning to read and write. Language learning is done mainly by listening and mimicry. For music, it's the same, you must first master the basics of the instrument before knowing how to read notes and scores. Whatever the age of the student, beginner level or confirmed, I offer private lessons of violin and viola. No knowledge or musical notion is necessary beforehand, the theoretical achievements are made as and when the discovery of the instrument.

Dounia

Sensitive to sharing and individual aspirations, I design personalized courses that combine technique and pleasure. I also offer support classes for conservatory students. Thirty-minute lessons are available for young children.

Gabriel
Piano lessons, harmony, composition, counterpoint
I give piano and music theory lessons with my own method. The music theory part is not purely theoretical but always mixed with practice. My method emphasizes the deciphering of scores, given that the objective is to allow the student to be as independent as possible thereafter. It will also have a technical aspect, but I prefer to have her work directly with pieces rather than dry exercises. I also give lessons in harmony, counterpoint and composition for those who would like to go further.

Pierre
Alumni from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music teaches Piano/ Composition/Music Theory
Dear student, Graduate from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in Composition with Dr. David Conte, I offer musical composition lessons adapted to your level and in the style/genre that you like. The courses mix all the practices mentioned above (Piano, Analysis, Orchestration, Counterpoint and Harmony). A lifelong pianist, I obtained a Diploma in Music Studies (DEM) from the Annecy Conservatory (Fr.) in Musical Training, Film Scoring, Orchestration and Analysis, as well as a State Diploma (DE) in musical pedagogy specializing in Piano (Classical and Improvisation) and Musical Training from CeFeDEM in Lyon, France. Teaching music has therefore been a vocation for almost 10 years now, and I have been able to accompany many children and adults in their discovery and/or deepening of this practice. As a award-winning composer, my experience of the professional world can help build you career plan as well as managing your time efficiently. Currently living in Paris, Fr, I dispense in-person classes or online classes through Zoom (outside of France). In addition, courses can be given in French or English depending on your preferences.
