AlexDrums & Rhythm Lessons - in a͓̽m͓̽s͓̽t͓̽e͓̽r͓̽d͓̽a͓̽m͓̽
My approach to teaching drums is focused on developing a strong understanding of rhythm in general and applying it on the drum set.
I will customise my teaching approach to your needs, depending on the level of your playing and your musical desires.
I'll give my best in each lesson to guide you step-by-step into becoming a better musician/drummer.
You can learn about:
- Macro & micro timing
- Drum sounds for different genres/applications
- Controlling dynamics between different limbs
- Rhythm singing (konnakol)
- Reading complex musical notations
- Composing mathematically harmonious/inharmonious rhythms
And much more...
Starting from beginner, up to experienced drummers.
I'm also giving rhythm lessons to non-drummers, just to anyone interested in getting to know more about the rhythmical concepts of South India - the most advanced rhythmic system on planet Earth!
AlexRocker seeks to convey his passion for music.
Before each class, I simplify what I am going to teach so that the student does not have trouble and has fun understanding. My classes are based on the knowledge I learned in a music university and my own knowledge.
The subject is approached in a free / creative way but also in a structured way.
AlecDrum Teacher available for technical and motivational lessons online
If you want to know not just about drum techniques and playing, but also about its history and musicianship, you'll definitely have a unique experience with my lessons.
I believe drumming is not just about playing and knowing your chops, but also about being able to listen to others in the band and make sure you "be" part of the music, without resorting to thrashing around and proving to others what kind of noise you can make. Hence the phrase "A band should be as good as its drummer". :)
Drumming is undoubtedly a way of building up your self-confidence, in order to establish your identity. The drums are a great use to channel your emotions, so long as you don't have to pull a Keith Moon. ;)
I can also add keyboards to the mix.... But why is it relevant for a drummer, you may ask? Well, although it may look the contrary from the outside, having an ear for other instruments and chords is absolutely essential, because both your drumming nd ability to improvise contributes to the atmosphere of each song.
If you want to know more, do please get in touch. I look forward to rocking out with you! :)

TimDrum lessons, Inspiration, creativity, innovation and fun!
I want to inspire my students and encourage them to be creative in the field of making music and drumming. Every student is different and learns differently. For that reason, I bundle different teaching methods and extract what works best for the student.
In addition, I want to let my students experience that music plays a major role in life. By making music for yourself or others you can grow in different areas. The new skills that you develop will be useful for the rest of your life.

First of all, I'm very fond of music in general and will (I think) always be.
I played Cello for ten years (3- 14) and then decided to switch to drums. Not only can I teach you the basics but I can also help you work on your "internal clock", improvisation skills, technique, coordination and ear training.
Over the years, I played with many bands such as Moaning Cities, Peter Kernel, Mccandless. ( Australian Band, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, France,...).
I mainly studied with Dominique Hamet and the numerous drummers I had a chance to meet along the path. (Agostini method)
Besides, I have been working on developing an instinctive method so as to teach complex concepts in the easiest way possible.
Can't wait to start !
See you soon,
Want to play drums ?

Graduated musician (nowadays enrolled in Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels) offers music lessons for all ages, experiences and interests. The main process will take place considering the previous knowledge of the student, in order to start a personal and individual learning path. Lessons can be about music theory, harmony, ear training, rhythm, but also percussions, double bass and drums. The main tool will be the listening and the comprehension of musical sounds, forms and feelings, in order to avoid a mere intellectual study. Playing and listening first!
