As a student at the Haute École Pédagogique de Lausanne (HEP), I offer tailored support for students in grades 5 to 8, covering all subjects in the school curriculum. I use the Romand Study Plan (PER) to identify and target essential skills. Each catch-up plan is tailored to the challenges encountered during the previous year or focuses on consolidating acquired skills before the start of the school year. The goal is for the child to start the year with peace of mind, rested and with a solid foundation in all subjects. The sessions are interactive, adapted to the pace and specific needs of each student.

Hello, My name is Ahlam, and I'm a university student with a passion for sharing knowledge. For several years, I've been tutoring students of all ages, up to and including high school and vocational tracks. I also work as a homework helper for the City of Lausanne. This has given me solid teaching experience, both in academic support and in fostering self-confidence. My educational background demonstrates a strong interest in scientific subjects: I pursued a health studies track in high school, then obtained a specialized baccalaureate in health as well as a Swiss federal baccalaureate with excellent grades in mathematics (6) and science (5.5 average). However, my passion for history and English led me to the Faculty of Arts, where I am currently continuing my studies. My goal is to become a teacher in these subjects, which I am particularly fond of. I enjoy working with children, teenagers, and young adults, adapting to their specific needs and offering them a personalized educational approach. I look forward to meeting you and supporting each student with dedication, kindness, and enthusiasm. Yours, Ahlam

Having myself worked in high-stress environments, I know first-hand how stress can reduce the quality of life. Being also a medical doctor, I know all too well the long-term impact of stress on your mental and physical health. That is why I have created these classes. Chronic fatigue, difficulties sleeping, back pain, digestive issues, muscle tensions, irritability... I have been there too. If you experience any of the above, it is high time to push the reset button. Correctly done physical postures, along with breathing and relaxation techniques can make a huge difference. Do you worry that you are not flexible enough? Well, don't. The only requirement for my private yoga class is to be able to breathe. :) I have helped students with all kinds of physical conditions and I know how to adapt the practice to your needs. Are you still not sure? Just give it a try. Simply come for a 1-hour class to see if it makes sense to you. :) There is little to lose and possibly a whole new world to gain :)

Have you always dreamed of learning the cello, or do you wish to resume playing after several years of break? I currently teach in several schools in Switzerland, including EMVR and Aiglon College, and I perform regularly in concert in Switzerland and abroad. I teach cello to children, teenagers, and adults in a supportive, motivating, and pressure-free atmosphere. Lessons are fully tailored to each student's level, goals, and pace, whether you're a complete beginner or a more advanced musician. I also accompany many adults who are starting the cello for the first time, sometimes after the age of 40 or 50, as well as people who are returning to the instrument after a long break. No prior experience is necessary, and it is not required to be able to read music at the beginning. My primary goal is for each student to enjoy playing, develop a positive relationship with music, and progress with confidence. Courses available in French, Spanish or English.

I offer private math lessons for all levels, up to (maybe) the second year of university. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from EPFL, I have been an assistant since 2023 in several courses, mainly in analysis and linear algebra. I have also corrected exams for the CMS and MàN programs. At the same time, I participated in the mentoring program as a tutor, a support program for first-year mathematics students. My role was to help them understand the courses, solve exercises, and prepare for exams. The students I followed throughout the year all obtained an average above 5. My way of teaching would be to explain my point of view, to give concrete examples of application of the results seen in class, to explain the logical progression of the course, to give a proof of the result or sometimes just to make a drawing. I am a student myself, and I understand the difficulty one can have in visualizing concepts, so I am open to criticism and flexible on my way of teaching.
