Playing the violin might sound difficult. Being honest, it can be sometimes tricky, especially if you don't find the method which fits you the best :).
I use Suzuki method for teaching the violin. Suzuki believes that everyone can learn music in the right environment.
It doesn't matter how old you are, or if you have any background in music or not, I will make a tailor-made program for you based on your needs and level. More important, I will make sure that you enjoy the learning process, and you are having fun!

About Me

I started learning music from age 6, and I continued my passion by
choosing the violin as my favorite instrument. At the age of 11, I entered Tehran Conservatory and started learning music academically. I followed my heart and finished
my studies by getting a master degree in violin performance.

I can't imagine my life without music and without the joy of being able to create something beautiful. Playing music gives you a chance to create and design the sound in a way that YOU like. I can't describe how satisfying it is to be able to do that.

My goal in life is to spread and share these magical moments with anyone who is willing to experience that.

Hello! My name is Ana, I am 32 years old and I am a violin teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience working with children and adults, specializing in creating a supportive environment for beginners and advanced players. I am based in Maastricht and I teach at my violin studio in Scharn.

My teaching focuses on developing solid technique and musicality in a friendly and encouraging environment. I help students build a strong foundation and enjoy music-making. Over the years I have developed my own teaching method which includes elements from ABRSM, Trinity, Suzuki and Galamian methods, as well as covers standard violin repertoire. This makes learning structured and fun. For optimal development, I organize frequent lessons with the piano accompanist as well as a two class concerts per year in various locations in Maastricht, where everybody is welcome to join and support! Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand.

A bit about my teaching background: both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists.

I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018.

Lessons can be in Dutch, English or Spanish.

Spanish lessons available! All ages. If you want to learn spanish, writing, reading and speaking feel free to contact me and start to learn this beautiful language. The lessons will be in Spanish but if you do not understand something I will help you in another language but slowly we will increase the amount of Spanish speaking. The classes are dinamics and you will also have fun.

I'm a professional violin and viola player who teaches students of all ages and levels.
During my musical education I had the opportunity to study in different conservatories in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland, awakening in me a passion for teaching the violin and viola and thus beginning to give private lessons and coaching youth orchestras.

The most important thing for me to begin with is to know the purpose and level of the student. After that we choose a teaching method together.
I learn all the skills in different ways (games, videos, books...) The lesson never gets boring. We speak Spanish or Dutch from day one. Hello! Would you like to learn how to play a string instrument? I am a professional violist who could teach you the secrets to master viola or violin performance.
During the lessons we can:

- learn about our instrument in a relaxed environment
- work on body posture and warming up/relaxation techniques to play the most harmless way possible

My name is Sofija and I am a pianist currently studying at Conservatorium Maastricht.

I believe that music helps us to develop skills and qualities such as patience, accuracy and sensitivity that we all need in our daily life. It can be also a great way to connect to other people or to yourself.

In the lessons we will focus on your needs and wishes both if you are a beginner or an advanced player. A tenured violinist at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège and a graduate of the Geneva University of Music (Bachelor), the Amsterdam Conservatory (Master) and the IMEP in Namur (Master in Pedagogy), I have 10 years of teaching experience. My lessons are offered to every age and level, in my experience as a private music school teacher I could teach to children and adults starting out and students preparing conservatory entrance exam.
