English Language Classes - All Levels - NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER

My name is Natalie and I am a Student at the University of Maastricht. I am from Scotland in the UK. My Father is Scottish and My Mother is English. So, obviously English is my mother tongue. I have extensive qualifications in English, including English literature and I have experience being a tutor.

I am happy to work with all ages and all abilities. I can help with speaking and writing skills, from the basics of directions and order food to writing a full essay in correct British English.

The classes will be taught using a range of different methods, from games to books of all types - I am a bookworm so I have books from when I was three to books I will read in the future, any type of book ask and I will most likely have it!- I may also meet older students in cafes so we can discuss types of food and drinks in English! I find this helps.

I also have 2 UK PVG forms, this means I am legally allowed to work with people all ages. I have 2 years experience working with disabled children at a school in Scotland.

I also have all Highschool qualifications in German and most of my friends are German so do not hesitate to contact me.

I do not mind traveling outside of Maastricht, but I will charge extra for journeys that cannot be made by bike.

I have teaching experience of 5+ years in Physics and Mathematics to the high school and university-level students. This class aims to provide an overview of calculus and focuses on the fundamental mathematical tools and concepts such as limits, differentiation, and integration. Building on these basic concepts, we will review methods for solving problems related to their applications. Note that this course will be tailored to your specific needs, and we could mainly focus on the topics you are struggling with. Furthermore, please feel free to contact me and suggest any other topics you would like me to cover and teach. Outline of the course: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1 Limits of functions 1.2 Evaluate the limits using L'Hospital's rule (for 0/0, ∞/∞) 1.3 Continuity, types of discontinuities, intermediate value theorem ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.4 Introduction to differentiation (or derivative) 1.5 Tangent line to a curve, slope, instantaneous velocity 1.6 Rules and theorems for differentiation: power rule, product rule, chain rule 1.7 Derivatives of exp, log, and trigonometric functions 1.8 Implicit function and implicit differentiation 1.9 Derivative of inverse functions 1.10 Second and higher-order derivatives 1.11 Application of derivatives 1.12 Geometrical interpretation of the derivative of a function 1.13 Rolle's theorem, mean value theorem, critical point, maximum/minimum of a function 1.14 First and second derivative tests, inflection points ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.15 Anti-derivative, indefinite integral 1.16 Techniques of integration: integration by substitution, integration by parts 1.17 Definite integral and its application (area between curves, application in physics) 1.18 Area as a definite integral 1.19 Areas between two curves and many more... *Note that the sessions will be held online (via Discord/Zoom/Microsoft Teams).

Maurice
IB Diploma - IGCSE and MYP Mathematics, Mathematics-Economics teacher: professional support
Are you looking for support for your child? Does your child have difficulties following the subject matter of the IB Diploma or Abitur and feels overwhelmed? Your reason for reading: Ever since I was born, my curiosity has never been contained - I was always looking for new challenges and as soon as something interested me, I wanted to know everything about it, no matter how long it took. Among my friends and colleagues, I am known for familiarizing myself with new topics in a very short time and developing a profound understanding The key to success: Education. In my opinion, free education is the highest and most valuable asset we have and we should do everything we can to continuously educate ourselves. At this point, it would be wrong to say that "unfortunately" everyone is knitted differently. Thank God this is exactly the case and this is where the biggest problem in our society begins. Even in the early years we are not optimally encouraged. Parents try their best to give their children the best education, but they and the teachers are often overwhelmed by the situation at school. Of course, this is not entirely the fault of the teachers. Imagine supporting 30 children individually in 90 minutes. Effectively this means 3 minutes for each child and now they see your own daughter or son trying to explain a complex task in that time - let's be honest! Here it quickly becomes clear that this is not only too little time for your child, we would also fail because of it. Always looking for self-optimization: Self-optimization has rarely been worth as much as it is today. I teach students from all walks of life and this is what I love about my job and why I ended up becoming a personal coach. Inflation does not only exist in the economy, knowledge is also inflationary in education. Once we stop and continue to educate, over time our level of knowledge becomes less valuable. So we have to do something to educate ourselves. Achieve goals: My goal is to give your daughter or son the best possible education in exactly the subject where most people fail - mathematics. It doesn't matter whether it's in the German Abitur or in the International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma), mathematics is a big hurdle for most people. My goal is to make this hurdle easier for your child. This includes not only dryly explaining tasks - no, but restoring fun and motivation. Nobody wants to study for something where they have the feeling of standing in front of a wall and only understand the train station. In the end, I want your child to be prepared with a deeper understanding and to lose the fear of difficult tasks. For this, I optimize learning techniques, fill in gaps, and see where your child's individual goal is. In the end, your child should go to my lessons in a tailor-made way and optimally supported. Of course, I'm not a silver bullet and development varies from student to student, but my personal aim is to offer you premium service clothing that is otherwise rarely found on the market. Thank you for your interest Did you know? On average, a reader decides within the first few seconds whether to read a text to the end. Best regards, Yves Maurice

bonjour, My name is Alexander and I am 33 years old. I'm Dutch, but I grew up in France all my life. In addition to my Baccalaureate (Mention bien), I also studied political science in Paris (Panthéon-Assas) for a year. In short, I know where the trouble lies as a Dutch person in learning French. In addition to a grammatical preparation, I also provide a cultural background. I can help with test preparations from school to university level. High School tutoring and language classes and conversations with a native speaker in French, German and English
I offer language classes and conversation from a bilingual native speaker in French and German and also English (C1 certified). If you want to improve your level or need help for school work in these languages (any subject), contact me! I recently graduated from the Lycée Franco Allemand (French German high school) in Saarbrücken, Germany but grew up in a french-speaking household, which allowed me to have a natural, bilingual uprising and excellent knowledge in both these languages. Later on in high school I also improved my English level by studying for 6 months at the Parklands Languages High School in Chorley, Lancastershire. Since I am currently enrolled at the Maastricht Science Program at the University of Maastricht and had been following rigorous scientific education during my high school (Biology and Chemistry specialisation), I can offer tutoring in any classes and especially in the Sciences in English, French or German.

Marcell
Private Tutoring in English, Academic Writing and University Applications
Do you want to become more proficient and more confident in English? Would you like to realize your full potential through writing the best essays and the best letters of motivation? I believe then that I am the perfect tutor for you! I studied Linguistics, the science of languages at the University of Cambridge, and as such, I am well-versed in thinking about language in an advanced level and familiar with different language exams (e.g. IELTS). This experience is going to be very advantageous for you when going through the perhaps more confusing aspects of English. Over the years, as Access Officer of a Cambridge society, I helped 60+ people with their university applications, and I learnt what makes a good letter of motivation. I can help you with how to connect your experiences in order to create the perfect applications for jobs and universities alike! I run my classes depending on your needs - do you feel more comfortable studying in your home or in a cafe? We focus on writing, speaking or both, all dependent on what your aim is and where your abilities are. In any case, I assign homework after every class, to allow you to consolidate your knowledge. I am also happy to proofread any kind of written piece! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
