I studied clarinet and bass clarinet in Madrid (Higher Grade) and Zurich (2 masters) and for more than 10 years I have played with international professional groups and I give private classes and in schools where I pass. Now I am based in Spain, but the last few years I have been living in Switzerland and Japan. In the following link you can listen to some of what I have played: I offer classes to beginners, amateurs or students who want to learn or improve their way of playing so they can feel freer performing and thus enjoy more of the style of music they choose, whatever it is. Musical arrangements and exercises tailored to each student are provided, and knowledge of theory, rhythm, or history is also taught. The Tecla y Música Workshop is a space designed to learn and develop your musical and expressive sense through the piano and / or keyboards. He also plays as a member of the contemporary music groups Korvat Auki and the Nyky Ensemble. His main musical interests at the moment are the collaborations with living composers, chamber music with different ensembles, and interdisciplinary improvisation. Diogo performances have taken place in many venues such as the Philharmonie of Essen, OrchesterZentrum Dortmund, Music Center Helsinki, Turku Castle, Liceu Auditorium Barcelona, Casa da Música do Porto, and many more. Diogo's recognition includes prizes in some international competitions and the recent recognition at the 2022 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy competition for Contemporary Ensembles and the recent participation at the prestigious Josip Nochta Competition in Zagreb, Croatia. Diogo teaches all saxophones and ensemble playing in Portuguese, Spanish, English and German.
