People of all ages are welcome in my classes, regardless of whether they are starting from scratch or have prior knowledge. I always try to respond to the individual needs of each student and design classes according to their objectives. For me, learning to play an instrument is not only about acquiring the proper technique, but also about developing one's own musical and artistic personality. To this end, I always work with my students on works that, in addition to helping them advance technically, are attractive and interesting for them, in order to foster their motivation. Throughout my career I have worked with students of all ages, both viola and violin. I have been a violin and viola teacher in various music schools in Holland and Germany, and I currently work as a viola teacher at the Official Music and Dance Center "Musical Martí", in Madrid. About me: I have a degree in viola from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (Holland). Subsequently, I completed my Master in Interpretation at the Utrecht Higher Conservatory. I consider myself a patient and enthusiastic person and I believe that, with the right tools, everyone can learn music.

My name is José Pablo and I am a trumpet graduate from the “Óscar Esplá” Superior Conservatory of Music in Alicante. Currently I live in Madrid and I am studying the Master of Music Therapy + Master in Montessori Pedagogy and from the month of April, I will start the Master in Musical Research at VIU. I have been teaching trumpet classes individually and in groups since 2012. My goal is always that you enjoy each class to the fullest, but I try to learn to the maximum of this great world that is MUSIC. My way of seeing life means that I am always in continuous learning and that is why I always seek to improve my skills as a teacher. My goal is to be able to offer classes in regulated education, either in primary or secondary education and / or professional and higher conservatories.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide). I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits. My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students with their Piano Exams like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grade 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas). I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same. I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. Piano/Keyboard - Alfred , Hal Leonard, Abrsm Grade (1-8), Trinity Grade (1-8), Hanon etc.

At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
