Hi there! I'm a TEFL certified native English speaker from the US, working in Madrid as a high school English teacher and photographer. I'm so excited to be working with individuals as they deepen their understanding of the English language.

Being bi-or multilingual, with the ability to speak English has become such a valued skill in today's world that is able to open up so many doors for people. My classes are all one to one, and I can meet you wherever you are in your process of learning Spanish. Whether you're at an absolute beginner, intermediate, or advanced level, I can create personalized lessons that help you get more comfortable with your English speaking and comprehension.

My main goal for my classes is to conduct them in a way that is fun and easily digestible. I'm happy to meet you wherever works best for you - online, at your home, a coffee shop - wherever. My Spanish is intermediate, which comes in handy when explaining things, but we'll only use it when we have to :)

About Me

I'm 29, and moved to Madrid from the US in November to become an English teacher and improve my Spanish. I love this city and am so happy to be here. In 2016 I received my TEFL Certificate and have since taught/tutored English language learners in Washington DC, Barcelona, Sicily, and now Madrid.

I'm a very calm, patient, and positive person and appreciate the effort it takes to learn another language. I know it can be challenging and sometimes frustrating, so I do my absolute best to make my classes enjoyable. The student will be able to see different places in the capital of Spain without leaving the classroom and learn Spanish. My learning idea is based on interactive activities between my student and me, with word games, card games to improve the syllabi. I will also bring printed exercises for the denser syllabi and for reading comprehension activities in Spanish. We will see a text in which different topics will be discussed and the student must understand what each paragraph says. For this last exercise, I will use the texts and printed images from my printed edition of Guía de Madrid.

This course suggests that we enter a level of English that allows you to deal with your personal life and your professional life. Furthermore, the idea is to be able to talk about the media, to function in different environments. It is also important in this course to think about eating. How nice it is to know how to order a good plate of food or go to a gym knowing how to talk to people. Here you can delve into the different greetings and means of establishing contact with Spanish.
