Hi! My name is Nastasia. I am a Canadian student living in Milan. I would love to help children, students, adults, and anyone else learn and improve their English skills. I would be more than happy to also help with homework and test preparation.

My approach to teaching english varies depending on the level and age of the student. The main aim is to create an atmosphere where english is enjoyable and easy. The goal is to enhance every students english to the next level and beyond, engaging with the student through conversation and other activities in order for them to learn to speak and write like a native. With regards to english proficiency exams my approach begins with discovering the level and capabilities of the students in order to create a structured plan to improve the areas that need it the most.

I have been tutoring students for the last 5 years at Bocconi (CLEM & CLEF) and Cattolica University. I have successfully passed my CFA exams and achieved a GMAT score of 730. I offer tutoring in all disciplines of business, finance and economics. However, I major in Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Math, Corporate Finance, Statistics, Financial Accounting, Econometrics and GMAT quants. I like to make subjects interesting by connecting theory and concepts taught to student’s passions and interests, because I believe that it is the best way to help students develop a desire to learn. I want to help my students not only to improve their grades but also to bring out their inner curiosity to know how things work. Here is a bit of description about my teaching experience: I am a tutor of Math and Physics for Middle, High School and University students for almost 10 years in ENGLISH, RUSSIAN and KAZAKH languages. My students were successfully acing the Finals, successfully enrolling in Lyceums and Universities. In almost all the cases, my students were initially thinking that they lack the talent or skill to be good in Mathematics and/or Physics, that "they are not that type of person that can succeed in a particular field of studies". Solution of this problem is simple and obvious, explain them that it's not all about talent but constant improvement with smaller steps and hard work, and to try friendlier approach of teaching. So my first lesson is aimed at finding the key for the student. Having a tutor with a more flexible approach in teaching helps to build friendly relations with the student, so both of us will have willing to attend the next lesson:) It is very hard to keep this balance between being a strict teacher asking homework and a friend that you can text in the messenger outside the class just to discuss some TikTok trend. So I will try my best to get one more friend and successful student! The program of my course is flexible and depending on the final purpose (Preparation for the exam, improving marks in the school) and time that we have. My lessons are usually a little bit longer than one hour or two, because of the "learning curve phenomena" I always make 5-10 minutes break, specifically the online classes. After every lesson, I give the Homework to the student and at the beginning of every next lesson we are checking results, making corrections and I ask to explain the solution, if needed. My main goal is to make student not only understand the topic but also to make them able to explain the concept themselves, and obviously passing their exams :)
