About Me

Music-oriented sound engineer, original soundtrack composer, live artist, DJ.

Not playing a musical instrument, I was very early interested in computer-assisted production to fill this void, so I have been training in software and sound (and image) plugins on my own for more than 10 years and after years of 'artistic studies, I ended up finding my way in sound engineering studies, which brought together techniques and artistic expressions.

I composed the soundtrack of a film signed Netflix coming out in 2021, played in all the biggest Belgian clubs and festivals, but also internationally, my songs regularly appear in the top 100, my reinterpretation of Oxygene 2 is played by Jean-Michel Jarre himself has his concerts since his New Year's show in Notre-Dame, and we are preparing a collaboration for the end of the pandemic.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

I am Thijs (30) an experienced drummer and musician, with a wide range of musical interests. Studying jazz drums under the wings of Lander Gyselinck at the KASK/Conservatory in Ghent. In addition, I have followed masterclasses and lessons from/with Joey Baron (US), Kendrick Scott (US), Corey Fonville (US) and Stéphane Galland (BE). I am also active in various bands/groups.

My lessons, depending on the level, focus on both the fundamental building blocks of drumming and music as a whole.
