As part of the structured lessons, we learn the instrument, the initial fundamental knowledge (playing techniques, song selection, rhythm patterns, etc.) and build a repertoire of pieces that you enjoy and/or that you can use for your work (e.g. children's groups, retirement home, clinical clown , actors etc). I have been teaching violin to beginners and advanced players of all ages for more than 10 years. In addition to posture, intonation and technique, the focus of the lessons is also particularly on the development of musical personality as well as musical expression, dynamics and agogics. This class has the purpose of teaching how to play and enjoy different kind of drums, not only the drums set, but others like Congas, Bongos, Djembe, maracas, Güiro, etc. It’s a nice exploration across different cultures and music styles to discover how to use them creatively in different music genres and if you are interested there’s the possibility to learn how to record them.

I propose saxophone lessons for all ages, all levels, and in all styles. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instil a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'.
