From 23 £ /h
Develop your English Language skills from any level to gain confidence and fluency. I am a Cambridge University Graduate with a high-level degree in English Literature specialising in Feminist writing forms and Visual Culture. I have 4 years of experience Teaching English as a Foreign Language. My experience ranges from the tuition of the very youngest students (ages 4-11) with companies such as Babylangues, teenagers (14-18) at International Summer Schools in groups of 5, as well as professional adults in private lessons. My aim is to instill a love of the English language as well as a cultural overview by introducing English Literature, History, Politics and current affairs balanced with popular culture. My style is friendly, conversational and interactive; I take great care to provide materials that are tailored to each individual student and I enjoy structuring lessons around the dynamic which is the most natural fit. I have pre-prepared structures which seek to cover everything from Essay Writing and Grammar to Public Speaking topics and debate. I speak conversational French, so if you would feel more comfortable starting lessons in your native language and developing from this point this is something which can be arranged. Please do not hesitate to get in contact, I would love to discuss designing lessons that are the most suitable for you!

About Me
Hello! My name is Lucy, I'm a 22 year old graduate from Manchester, England. I graduated from the University of Cambridge last year with a 2:1 in English Literature - my interests relate broadly to Feminist Form in Contemporary Novels, Modern Language Poetry, Installation Art, Music and Film. I'm in Paris until the Summer in order to develop my French speaking skills and work with children before studying Law in September. I have up to four years experience teaching English as a Foreign Language, from the very youngest of children (ages 4-11) with French Companies such as Babylangues, to students (ages 11-18) in renowned International Summer Schools, to Professional Adults in a private context. I speak conversational French, having obtained the highest level during my A-Level and spent four months living in Montpellier before University. I am happy to begin conducting lessons in French to ensure your comfort and facilitate your learning! My style is friendly, relaxed and I have developed lesson plans that range from Essay Writing and Structuring, Grammatical Practice to Debate and Public Speaking. I like to make my sessions interactive and to incorporate art, music and current affairs ~ I feel that this helps to provide a creative and informed overview of English Culture. The best way to learn is to feel involved in the language you wish to develop, and I believe that making the lessons fun is paramount to the learning process! Please do not hesitate to message me and discuss the best lesson for you, I'm more than happy to spend time tailoring something to your needs. Lucy :-)
