I'm a professional harpist from France, passionate about the harp since I'm a child, it would be a pleasure to share and help you to learn more about this beautiful instrument.
I taught 8 years when I was living in Belgium and I always loved sharing my knowledge about the harp with my student. I like the lessons to be enjoyable by a fun and engaging way in order to make my students achieve their goals, and build a strong basis to help them grow and expand their musicality.

About Me
French-born harpist Louise is emerging as an engaging performer in both her native France and New York City. She has won awards and has participated in several international competitions (Rovere d'Oro, Concours Français de la Harpe, USA International Harp Competition). In past seasons, she has performed at the Lincoln Center in New York and was invited to play with the United Nations Orchestra. Louise has also performed across Europe (France, Germany, Netherlands, Germany, UK, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain) with the Brussel Chamber Orchestra, National Police Orchestra of France or at the Royal Opera of Liege and on Josh Groban’s live tour in 2016. From 2011-2015 she was invited as the principal harpist to the Aurora Festival in Sweden, and during the 2014-15 season, she performed in New Delhi through the Neemrana Music Foundation. Since October 2018, she is a substitute musician at The Metropolitan Opera in New York.

An enthusiastic collaborator, Louise has worked with multiple artists across a number of disciplines, including Jialba (Belgian visual artist), Louise Ros (Belgian photographer), Rafael Leloup, and Romain Zante (both LA-based Belgian composers). She is currently developing a new, interdisciplinary recital program, Glass Ceiling. A collaborative performance featuring two dancers (Shay Bland & Scott Willits from the Alvin Ailey Company and Elisa Monte Dance Company), Glass Ceiling is a story told through 3 bodies, illustrating the physical and psychological violence inflicted upon women experiencing intimate partner violence.

She studied with Emmanuel Ceysson at the New School (Mannes College of Performing Arts, New York) on full scholarship, at Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot with Emmanuel Ceysson in Paris and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Jana Bouskova. Louise also worked and received the support from David Watkins in England (Guildhall School of Music in London), Chantal Mathieu (Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne), Park Stickney (Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Lyon) and Beatrice Guillermin (Conservatoire de Saint-Maur). She has studied chamber music with Denis Bouriakov (principal flutist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra), Alexander Zemtsov (Guildhall School of Music in London and Vienna Konservatorium) and Samuel Coles (principal flutist of the Philharmonia Orchestra in London).
