I have a degree in Spanish and I have a level 5 teaching qualification (CELTA). I have been teaching beginner and intermediate Spanish to adults since November 2019. I have taught 1-1 classes, couples and small groups (my price varies depending on student number).

I can use games to help make language learning fun! I understand grammar very well and can help you to learn it if this is what you need, or I can help you with conversation, reading, writing etc.

I put a lot of effort into my lesson planning to make sure that the student gets the most out of it, and I’m very flexible with changing lesson content to what suits the student best.

About Me
I am an English language teacher at Nottingham Central Library where I use games and articles to encourage students of different levels and from different backgrounds to improve their English.

I currently teach a young student GCSE level French. I use games and activities to help her enjoy learning French.

I have also taught beginner Spanish to a group of 4-6 students in order to prepare them for a trip around South America. These lessons mostly included learning about situations, such as ordering in a restaurant or asking for directions.

Depending on what the student needs help with, I adapt my lessons to give them the best opportunity to learn. I use the lesson structures learnt from my TEFL course but adapt them to the language taught.

I will not only help you to learn Spanish, I will help you to learn the different ways to immerse yourself in the language to really benefit and enjoy learning it. I have many games and activities to make sure that you enjoy learning Spanish!
Education
I have a Bachelors degree in Italian and Spanish at the University of Manchester. As part of this 4 year degree I studied Spanish grammar and learnt about the culture in both Spain and Latin America. I also spent 5 months living in the south of Spain where I immersed myself in the language.
Experience / Qualifications
I have finished my degree in Spanish and Italian. I have a TEFL qualification and I have been teaching since February 2019.

I have experience teaching a range of languages:
- Beginner (survival) Spanish to a group of 4-6 students
- 1-1 intermediate Spanish to a student aged 21

- Intermediate English as a foreign language to groups of 10-15 students from different backgrounds and levels - English speaking practice for 2 young children

- 1-1 GCSE level French to a young student

I also attend and help to organise many language speaking events in Nottingham and help people who attend with their language learning! (I will encourage you to come to these if appropriate)
