About Me
Hello! I'm Daisy and I'm a postgrad student at King's College London and experienced tutor up to A-level. I have a degree in maths from the University of Nottingham.
I've been tutoring for 4 years including a year full time. I've delivered over 2000 hours of online lessons and many face-to-face.
In my lessons I focus on clear explanations and aim to make maths more approachable, especially to those who have struggled or felt less confident in school.
Generally students have already identified a few topics they struggle with as a starting point, if you're not sure then I can help identify some areas to focus on
A good lesson plan varies depending on the student but we will always have a recap of related topics that we may be building on the lesson, examples and explanation as needed and a focus on practice questions. If you are preparing for an exam we can also look at exam technique. I would usually recommend that we focus on one topic at a time and take time to really get the hang of it, rather than rush through lots of content that can be difficult to retain.
I am familiar with all common exam boards and have excellent subject knowledge. I always check my lesson content against the national curriculum and/or relevant exam syllabus.
Feel free to send a message if you're interested in maths tuition with me and I can let you know my current availability. Looking forward to meeting you!
