I completed my own IB Extended Essay (Psychology) with an A grade, so I know the process from the inside — from picking a research question that's actually answerable in 4,000 words, to structuring an argument examiners can follow, to avoiding the common pitfalls that quietly cost marks (weak analysis, description instead of evaluation, a research question that's too broad or too narrow).

About Me

Hi! I’m Anisha, originally from Singapore and currently based in London, where I study Psychological and Behavioural Science at LSE. I achieved 42/45 in the IB, including 7s in HL Biology and HL Psychology.

Academically, I’ve always leaned towards understanding the “why” behind things rather than just memorising the answer — probably why PBS ended up being the right degree for me. I bring the same approach to tutoring: I enjoy finding ways to make difficult concepts genuinely click, rather than simply teaching students what to memorise for an exam.

I have around nine months of tutoring experience through UPchieve, where I worked with students to break down difficult concepts and develop clearer approaches to questions. There’s something especially satisfying about watching a concept go from confusing to obvious for someone else, particularly when you remember exactly what that confusion felt like yourself.

Outside of academics, I do gymnastics and contemporary dance, and I have a long-running interest in fashion and investigative journalism. So if a session ever needs a slightly unconventional example to make a concept stick, I’ll probably find one!
