My teaching approach follows a clear progression:
understand → hear → pronounce → read → use → write → analyze → communicate independently

I do not teach Arabic as a disconnected collection of vocabulary lists and grammar rules. I connect language structure to meaningful texts, conversation, writing, and real communication. Depending on the learner’s age and level, lessons may include guided dialogues, fully vocalized texts, visual explanations, reading passages, grammar analysis, structured exercises, dictation, storytelling, writing tasks, and personalized practice.

We can work with your school curriculum, university course, textbook, reading difficulties, grammar questions, writing samples, professional objectives, heritage-language needs, or personal learning goals.

Whether you are learning your first Arabic letters, improving conversation, strengthening reading, mastering grammar, developing academic writing, or reconnecting with Arabic as a heritage language, I will adapt the sessions to your level, objectives, pace, and preferred learning style.

My goal is to help you understand Arabic as a living, structured, and expressive language—and to use it with increasing accuracy, confidence, and independence.

My 1-1 tutoring sessions are flexible. I typically design a curriculum tailored to the student, aligned to Common Core Standards. However, if you have homework you need help with, or a test coming up you need to prepare for, I am happy to help with that too! I am particularly happy to help you with writing. I have coached students in essay writing, creative writing, and speech writing for contests, resulting in two shortlisted finalists, one second-place winner, and one first-place winner among over 200 entrants!

I have extensive experience helping students improve their reading and writing skills with great success. This includes writing structure and content development, grammar, punctuation, spelling, phonics, reading comprehension, literary analysis, and more. As an author of four novels (two published by Head of Zeus and two by Quercus) I have extensive experience of working with an agent, and editorial publishers, can offer valuable insights into the world of publishing. Writing is like a muscle; the more you use it, the better you become, and through a variety of writing exercises and different techniques, we can focus on helping you produce your best writing.

Fun and engaging online English lessons for children and young learners

I offer personalized English lessons designed to help children improve their speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence in English. My lessons are adapted to each student's age, level, interests, and learning goals.
In each class, students will have plenty of opportunities to speak and participate through games, stories, songs, phonics activities, pictures, and interactive exercises. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and expressing themselves in English.
