Hi everyone, my name is Elodie, I am French and grew up next to Switzerland but spent the last years in Paris. I am currently doing a master degree in digital marketing at Trinity in Dublin. In the past, I travelled in Australia and some parts of Asia where I gave French lessons to beginners and intermediate. I love sharing about my culture and would be glad to provide some insight of the " the Parisian way of life". Teaching French is interesting to me as it allows me to see my language in a different point of view. I am pretty adaptive in terms of teaching method and topics.

I am also passionate about the cinema industry, I go to the movie theater two to three times a week when I am in France and would be glad to share my passion and adapt my teaching to this interest if willing be.

About Me

Hi everyone,

I want my classes to be as adaptive to your needs and requests are possible. As a location, I put Trinity College as it is where study but feel to propose another location. Depending on your level, we can think together about a way of teaching that you would prefer, either if it is of learning new vocabulary, focusing on grammar, on a particular exam that you will have to pass or just having conversations on topics you are interested in.
I am passionate about cinema. I love watching movies and would be glad to share this interest by sharing my favorite French movies or shows for you to meet the useful and the enjoyable (joindre l'utile à l'agréable as we say in French).
As every French I love food and above all talking about food. I also love wine and bread, what could make me more French then that ? I would be keen on sharing my favorite French dishes and having conversations on that topic as well.

I am currently doing a Master degree in Digital Marketing Strategy at Trinity College Dublin
As my undergrad, I did Bachelor in Business Administration at ESSEC Business School in Paris.

What you will get from this course is not only good pronunciation and improved vocabulary/grammar, but also a deeper knowledge and understanding of the culture surrounding the French language ! When speaking a language, it is important to appreciate the lifestyle, traditions and heritage of the nations that speak it. French is spoken in many countries around the world, as main languages, and with very different accents: the learning process is endless!

My teaching is always interactive in order to keep my students' attention throughout the class, using many learning tools (photos, newspaper articles, music, videos, etc.) Naturally, I focus on each student's priority. Some students will want to improve their pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary, while others will need to prepare for a presentation or speech at school/work, others will simply want to learn a new language to enrich their general culture. And sometimes parents want their young children to master a new language. Thanks to my training and experience with children, I am also able to organize a course dedicated to them!
