Hello everyone, I have been a teacher since 2014. The Tunisian dialect is my mother tongue. I am here to help those who like to learn Tunisian: vocabulary, pronunciation, listening-comprehension, conversation, reading,... The courses are well prepared and focus on different themes. I have over one year experience teaching Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese, and I come from an English major background, so I am familiar with language learning issues and challenges. I use both traditional materials, such as textbooks for Chinese language, as well as other audio materials, such as podcast and YouTube interviews, to help you understand better the current issues in China, and how to engage in a fluent conversation with a native Chinese speaker.

- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living in Rome. I have 10 years teaching experience. I am very patient and I love to make a relaxed and friendly class environment. I have qualifications and experience teaching at different levels and in different contexts. I can help the student to improve the oral, written, and comprehension skills. Most important is that each course is based on the needs, interests and availability of the student. - The method is mainly what is called communicative, aimed at stimulating the student to speak immediately and put the focus on the functional aspect of the language. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

Here, we write down and memorize the new words and verbs we learn.🧠 Then, after listening to a text related to our topic, I want you to explain in Turkish what you understood. This course is intended for anyone who wishes to learn Tunisian dialect (Darija), whether it's for traveling, living in Tunisia, communicating with Tunisians, or simply out of linguistic and cultural curiosity. The Tunisian dialect is a living and rich language, different from classical Arabic. It incorporates influences from Berber, French, Italian, and Maltese. 👩‍🏫 I am Tunisian, I live in Tunisia, and I am fluent in French as well as other foreign languages, which allows me to guide you effectively, even if you don't speak Arabic at all. This course focuses on oral practice, simple dialogues, role-playing, and listening to authentic situations.

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course). As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).
