Hello, I’m Şeyma, and I’m 25 years old. I was born in Turkey, and I still live here. I’m a physical education teacher as well as a coach. My hobbies include traveling, creating content for digital platforms, visiting museums, and watching theater and films. Of course, I’m also passionate about learning languages, which is why I’m here.
As a teacher, I would describe myself as energetic, empathetic, patient, and someone who loves learning and teaching. I enjoy exploring different worlds and exchanging knowledge.
When planning my lessons, I first consider the person's language level, goals, and learning style to tailor the approach accordingly. In my lessons, I strive to balance skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. However, since speaking is the most crucial part of learning a language, my lessons are primarily focused on speaking.
In my lessons, I use not only my own materials but also flashcards, cartoons, content related to the culture of the language, games, songs, and much more. At the end of each lesson, I assign homework/practice tasks and regularly follow up on them.
Yes, learning a language can feel difficult and disorienting at first, but I will always be by your side throughout your language-learning journey. If you want to get to know this language and culture closely, let's get started!
Extra information
For our lessons, all you need is a computer where I can see and hear you clearly, an internet connection, and paper and a pen if you want to take notes. Your motivation to learn the language will be enough for me. :)

About Me
Hello, I’m Şeyma, 25 years old. I was born and live in Turkey. I am a professional teacher with Turkish as my native language. I teach Turkish and English (with a focus on children and adolescents for English). I have had many foreign friends and young students, and I believe there is no feeling more enjoyable than understanding and teaching someone and learning from them. I would describe myself as an energetic, patient, understanding, and motivating teacher. If you ever feel stuck or lost during the language learning process, don’t worry—I will support you throughout the entire journey. In my lessons, I give equal importance to skills such as reading, listening, writing, speaking, and grammar. However, since speaking is the most crucial part of learning a language, our lessons will be focused on speaking. Additionally, since learning a language also means learning about its culture, we will work on that aspect as well. What I ask of you is to attend the lessons regularly, take a sufficient number of lessons, complete the assignments I give, and be patient. I’m excited to meet you. See you in class!
Education
I graduated from Kocaeli University with a degree in Physical Education Teaching and I am also a coach. I graduated two years ago . After finishing school, I started improving my English and learning German. Learning a new language is a wonderful thing.
Experience / Qualifications
As I mentioned in other parts, I have had many foreign students/friends. Knowing the language and having formal education are not enough; it’s very important to be able to convey what you know to others. Based on the feedback I have received, I have seen that I have succeeded in this.

Phillip
Hello everyone,
My name is Phillip. I am an experienced, native bilingual (USA/Switzerland) English teacher. Today, I am pleased to guide you in your learning from my office located in the wild and inspiring setting of western Ireland.

With many years of experience as a private tutor, I work with students from all backgrounds. However, over time, I have developed an approach that is particularly appreciated by seniors and retirees. Why? Because I am convinced that learning a language at this stage of life should first and foremost be a shared pleasure, a window onto the world, and a wonderful way to keep the mind sharp and curious.
My approach: Trust and kindness above all

Many of us have somewhat rigid memories of school learning. With me, forget the stress of mistakes or tedious grammar. My primary goal is to restore your confidence. We progress at your pace, with a gentle, patient, and personalized teaching approach. Whether you're starting from scratch or simply want to refresh your old school memories, I adapt completely to your needs.

What we can explore together:
- Travel English: So that your next trip abroad is synonymous with serenity (getting around, ordering in restaurants, communicating with locals without apprehension).

-Maintaining family ties: Ideal if you have bilingual grandchildren or grandchildren living abroad and you want to share more with them.

-Conversation & Culture: Discuss current events, literature, history or life in Ireland, while enjoying my clear and easy-to-understand native accent.

-Brain gymnastics: Using English as a fun and stimulating tool to maintain memory and cognitive plasticity.

Why choose me?
As a dual American and Swiss national living in Ireland, I bring a unique cultural richness to your life. I have a mastery of all the nuances of the English language, but I also have a perfect understanding of French culture and structure.

Practical and technological aspects:

We'll work together via Zoom or Google Meet, very simple and reliable tools. If you're worried about the technology, don't be: I'll guide you step by step during our first session so you feel completely comfortable on screen. It's much simpler than it seems!

Join me for a friendly and engaging experience, blending Swiss rigor, American optimism, and the legendary warmth of Ireland. Let's transform your English practice into a truly enriching human adventure.
Nice to meet you,

Phillip
