About Me

Hi, my name is Femke. I tutor various subjects at secondary level (including mathematics, physics, biology, economics, Dutch, English) and at primary school level (arithmetic, reading, writing, etc.). I also teach Dutch to non-native speakers.

For many years, I have been tutoring and teaching students of all ages. Now since January 2021, I have been registered with the Chamber of Commerce, so I am an official tutor/teacher.

I also have a lot of experience as a babysitter and as an au pair, so I am used to working with children and I really enjoy helping them to make progress and help them realize how much they are capable of!

Next to that, I also love providing Dutch lessons to adults.

Education

I studied Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. In this study I learned a lot about first language acquisition (how children learn their mother tongue) and second language acquisition (how people learn a new language).

For my vwo-dimploma I followed a science profile, which is why I also have a lot of experience with, for example, mathematics and physics as taught in secondary school. I really enjoy (teaching) these subjects!

I teach in a flexible way and there is always a possibility to bring your own ideas. But first of all, we'll have an intake, so we can talk about your goals, expectations, way of learning and the methods/ books we can use.

I provide lessons for the Nt2 Staatsexamen and Dutch Nationalisation exam (Inburgering examen)and Business Dutch for ex-pats and people who want to learn everyday Dutch. In the citizenship exam course, students learn about history, geography and basic vocabulary which are the contents of the exam. They learn how to respond to basic questions. Besides preparatory lessons for (Inburgering examen ,citizenship exam ,I teach Business Dutch( Zakelijk Nederlands) to expats. Online lessons are delivered through Google meet and Ms Teams and other online platforms. The lessons are conducted online as well as at a location in The Hague. Both private and group lessons are available.

I take pride in saying that all my students who I prepared for Dutch exams passed their exams with high scores:)

Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish.

This way, the student will benefit from a fluid learning process and, with dedication, will be able to excel in Spanish in a short period of time.
