With 10 years of experience in teaching, I stand out for the richness of my multidisciplinary background. My passion, moreover, for literature and my vocation for teaching made me leave the world of forestry to become a French teacher, currently in a large high school.
I am a corrector and examiner for the Brevet and Baccalaureate. I am the author of French school textbooks for the publisher "L'harmatan". And I work in exclusive collaboration with my wife Habiba, a mathematics teacher. At the same time, I have been giving around forty hours per week of private lessons for many years.
Passionate about my job, I adapt to each student, whatever their level, from those who are experiencing difficulties to those who are already at the top of the class and who seek to consolidate their skills.
I regularly keep up to date with the latest educational advances in cognitive neuroscience. So I have my students work using the SRS method - spaced repetition method - (work on memorization).
I use innovative teaching methods, different from those usually used in class (mental maps/mind maps, coaching tools, etc.) to raise my students to the maximum of their possibilities.
My approach: to move my students from simple “readers” to “authors” of their own writings. I train them in writing, to find their own style to gain expression, understanding, autonomy and maturity. The methodology of commentary: "check-lists" of literary processes, on all the subjects of study of the program (theater, poetry, novel, literature of ideas); analysis of each text in map/diagram form; numerous standard plans; quick method for introduction and conclusion; tips to be able to process a text deemed “difficult” in a “mechanical” way.
The dissertation: a clear explanation of the notion of thesis/antithesis is made. They then know how to perfectly develop a standard plan that answers the question asked. For the content, the course can be worked on with them, course books will also be recommended to them in addition.
Text contraction and testing are discussed.
■ The baccalaureate oral exam:
The students provide me with their description (list of texts). We redo together, if necessary, a linear analysis of each of his texts. We prepare the presentation of the chosen work with possible questions for the 2nd part of the test.
Oral preparation is then supplemented by coaching-type tools. I give them advice and tips to be at their best on the day of the oral exam (additional materials to bring, advice on attitudes and gestures to adopt, etc.).

Philosophy finally within everyone's reach! A subject known to be demanding, approached with simplicity and pedagogy (with examples taken from films or everyday life).
I propose :
• For students at the end of 1st year: an introductory course in philosophy before entering final year. On the program: for each of the 17 concepts I approach the course, with possible issues and essential texts from philosophers. The student is thus perfectly comfortable to tackle the subject in September and to be able to listen actively in class.
• For final year students: follow-up during the school year. On the program: explanation and in-depth examination of each chapter (concepts, benchmarks, authors), training on the subjects of the baccalaureate annals. Preparation for the 2 types of tests: the dissertation and the explanation of the text.
HLP specialty: work on the content of the program and training for the tests (interpretation question, reflection question, essay), preparation for the Grand Oral.

Our broad culture, with Habiba, allows us to work on any theme chosen by the student (we also offer them ideas for reflection related to what they like). This preparation is timed, repeated several times during the school year. The presentation will be clear, lively, precise and complete. It will open on certain chapters of higher education.
The candidate must appear sure of his choice. There must be a certain consistency with the specialist subjects taken at high school, but also in relation to the profession he would like to pursue next. For all students who wish to improve their level of expression, I use several methods including writing haikus (short Japanese poems). The constraint of respecting precise writing rules allows you to draw from within yourself resources that will enable greater creativity. “Art lives from constraints, and dies from freedom” Michelangelo.
To open their minds: I direct them towards choices of radio programs, television, readings, linked to the program studied in class... My objective is to help them to flourish intellectually.
For me, the work of a teacher is not limited to theoretical knowledge. It must also teach them to think for themselves, to grow and become. I have a very global and original approach to education: both humanist but also very pragmatic (succeeding in achieving your academic goals, working to surpass yourself!).
Extra information
I have been a high school teacher since 2012. So for several years now I have been in charge of French classes in general secondary education, thus participating in the training of students in their mastery of different literary exercises (dissertation, commentary, Synthesis, etc. .) and the acquisition and improvement of literary skills in general.
In addition to my occupation as a high school teacher, I am also a language assistant at the University. I thus help teacher-researchers in their various academic tasks (teaching, evaluations, correction of exam papers, etc.). This allowed me to be already immersed in the world of higher education before definitively embracing this career in the near future after the defense of my thesis.
I am at the end of my doctoral cycle. The defense of my doctoral thesis is planned for this year. I also hold a Master's degree in Applied Foreign Languages.
