About Me

I was born and raised in the Philippines, but I have been living in Belgium for 25 years now. Though Tagalog is my native tongue, my English and French are C2 and C1, respectively. Since I was an immigrant in a foreign country, I know how hard and scary it feels when you arrive in a country where you don't know the national language. I learned French from a good friend, who patiently explained to me the basic grammar until I was confident enough to attend a language course in school. To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ...
