About Me
Over time I developed an endless passion for music and teaching. I have been teaching accordion at a public music school since 1995. Teaching music has always been important to me. Getting the kids excited about music with the right methodology was and is a big challenge for me.
For about 11 years I have been teaching all types of accordion, such as diatonic, chromatic, piano accordion, even at pre-school age, and I led an accordion orchestra. At the Music Academy in Ljubljana I completed a master's degree in classical concert accordion and a bachelor's degree in harpsichord.
I also completed my diploma in audio engineering at the SAE Institute.

Since 2015 I have been continuing my master's degree in harpsichord - concert subject with Prof. Wolfgang Glüxam and organ - concert subject with Prof. Wolfgang Capek at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. On October 28th, 2021 I successfully completed my master’s degree in Prof. Céline Frisch’s class.

As an accordionist and music producer, I have recorded several CDs of my own musical arrangements in Slovenia. I have played in various concert halls and been a guest on radio and television in Slovenia, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. I am now working as a concert accordionist, harpsichordist, organist and chamber musician.

It would mean a lot to me and I would be honored if you would accompany me on my musical journey, enjoy my music and maybe even book lessons with me.

Education
Since 1995, I have taught accordion at a public music school in Slovenia, later in Austria, and also in Germany. Teaching music has always been important to me. Inspiring children with the right methodology for music has been, and continues to be, a great challenge. I play all types of accordion, including diatonic, chromatic, and piano accordion, as well as organ, harpsichord, and piano. I earned a Master's degree in classical concert accordion from the Ljubljana Academy of Music and a Master's degree in harpsichord performance from the Vienna State Academy of Music. I also completed a diploma in sound engineering at the SAE Institute. As an accordionist and music producer, I have recorded several CDs in Slovenia featuring my own musical arrangements. I have performed in various concert halls and have appeared on radio and television in Slovenia, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Currently, I work as a concert accordionist, harpsichordist, organist, and chamber musician.

About me

I help students start playing real music early—often within the first few lessons.

I’m a professional pianist with 12+ years of teaching experience and over 7 years of international performing (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain, and worldwide on luxury cruise ships).

Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning after a break, I tailor each lesson to your goals so you can progress efficiently and enjoy the process.

I started piano at age 6 and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano Performance. I’ve also taken part in many masterclasses and studied with outstanding pianists. My background includes classical, jazz, blues, pop, rock, and chord-based playing.

I’m passionate about teaching and focused on helping you reach your goals in a clear, supportive, and enjoyable way.

About the Lesson

I am a patient and dedicated piano teacher, working with students of all ages and levels. Every lesson is tailored to your goals, learning style, and musical interests.

I teach a wide range of styles, from classical to modern music (jazz, blues, pop, etc.).

I can teach you reading sheet music or playing by ear, depending on your preference and goals. I can also help you improvise and create your own music in the styles you enjoy.

I also have strong experience working with students with ADHD and dyslexia, adapting lessons to make learning clear, structured, and engaging.

I focus on healthy technique, musicality, and effective practice habits to build confidence and avoid tension or injury. I also help students develop a technique that prevents common issues such as tendonitis, which is very important for long-term playing. You’ll also receive support outside lessons, including answers, feedback, and video explanations when needed.

I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity exams (Grades 1–8 and Diplomas), but I also teach students who simply want to enjoy playing. My students range from age 3 to 75+, and all make meaningful progress.

Online lessons are just as effective as in-person ones. I use a professional multi-camera setup and high-quality audio so you can clearly see technique and movement. Most of my lessons (95%+) are taught online.

Curriculum

There is no single method that fits everyone, so I adapt all materials to you.

For beginners, I often use Alfred’s Basic Piano Library. For classical and jazz development, I work with ABRSM and Trinity syllabi. I’m always happy to use other methods if you prefer.

Alongside structured materials, I include music you enjoy and focus on essential skills that apply across all styles—from classical to modern music.

REVIEWS from students:

(5/5) Pascale from France | In-Person Lessons

Gabriel’s teaching style is really impressive, the flow and the content of every lessons are very good and he has 4 CAMERAS that shows his face, keyboard and his view on a sideways so any student can visualize the proper posture and a clear view of the movement of his arms and fingers as he teach. Didac
Hi! I’m Didac Barber, a professional concert pianist and experienced teacher from Spain, now based in the Netherlands.

I hold a Master’s in Piano Performance from The Hartt School (USA) and trained at ESMUC Barcelona, studying with top international pianists like Adolf Pla and Luiz de Moura Castro. I’ve performed across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, and have taught piano for over 15 years — in conservatories, private studios, and internationally online.

My passion lies not only in performance but in helping students discover what they are capable of. I’m dedicated, empathetic, and patient — and I want you to enjoy your learning journey as much as I do sharing it.

Each student is different, and so are my lessons.
Whether you're just starting out or already preparing for auditions or performances, I’ll adapt the lesson to your goals, challenges, and musical taste.

We can work, all in a way that feels personal and motivating, on:
* Technique and sound production
* Repertoire (classical, contemporary, film music, etc.)
* Musical expression and interpretation
* Performance preparation (concerts, exams, auditions)
* Practice strategies and confidence-building

I’m here to help you be the best pianist you can be, whether that means mastering Bach or finally playing your favorite piece with confidence.

Lessons are at students home or online, and taught in English, Spanish, or Catalan, unfortunately not in Dutch for now.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I’d love to hear about your musical goals and help you reach them.
Let’s make music together!

* Technique and sound production
* Repertoire (classical, contemporary, film music, etc.)
* Musical expression and interpretation
* Performance preparation (concerts, exams, auditions)
* Practice strategies and confidence-building
