About Me
Meet George, a passionate and experienced professional Clarinetist and musician with over 10 years of experience performing in orchestras, bands, and theater works. George has received musical training and education from world-class professors and has expertise in music harmony, theory, and secondary instruments (Piano). He is also experienced in digital composition, music recording, production, and curation. George brings forth a self-motivated attitude and a lifelong love and commitment to music.
George’s music education journey started with his Clarinet Diploma (BA) from Raymondi Conservatory in Athens, Greece, where he studied under Professor Katerina Lioudaki, the Principal Clarinet (Eb) of The Athens Wind Orchestra. He then pursued his Classical Harmony Diploma from Panarmonio Conservatory in Athens, where he studied advanced classical music harmony under Professor Mr. Dimitris Lionis, a composer and professor of the Athenaeum Conservatory Athens Greece. George also attended various courses and workshops on Chamber Music, Music Interpretation, Contemporary Harmony, and Ear Training from different prestigious institutions in Athens.
Currently, George is studying at Conservatorio della Svitzera Italiana in Lugano under the tutelage of Prof. Jordi Pons & Francois Benda, and continuing his studies at Corso di alta formazione musicale, Academia philarmonica di Bolognia under M. Alessandro Carbonare. In the past, he has also studied at Corso Libero di Perfezionamento, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Roma, Italy under Professor Mr. Alessandro Carbonare, who is currently the Principal Clarinet in the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale of Santa Cecilia, in Rome, Italy since 2003.
George has also been part of various ensembles, including the Symphonic Youth Orchestra of Athens (ASON), where he served as the First Clarinet with Bass Clarinet responsibilities. He also played the First Clarinet with Bass Clarinet responsibilities for The Underground Youth Orchestra and performed in the Marching Band of the Municipality of Psychiko in Athens, Greece.
Additionally, he has been working as a Freelancer Clarinetist since 2018, where he performs at various events and venues such as weddings, concerts, and recording studios. John has experience collaborating with other musicians to create unique and captivating performances. His passion for music and dedication to his craft allows him to deliver exceptional performances to audiences.
