- I am able to see value in compositions regardless of style and technique. I can advise you specifically with: composing in the idioms of contemporary instrumental, vocal, and choral music, atonal, tonal, and microtonal composition, timbral and noise composition, extended instrumental composition, interdisciplinary composition, and with contemporary music analysis.

I am a pianist and a piano teacher who started his teaching journey in 2016 at The Znojmo Music Institute in the Czech Republic, while being a student of Conservatory in Brno. Diogo is a curious musician, being part of different projects such as the Kaamos Duo (contemporary music for saxophone and soprano singer), chamber music with pianist Lambis Pavlou and Cantus Portugueses (traditional portuguese music with a modern twist). He also plays as a member of the contemporary music groups Korvat Auki and the Nyky Ensemble.
His main musical interests at the moment are the collaborations with living composers, chamber music with different ensembles, and interdisciplinary improvisation.
Diogo performances have taken place in many venues such as the Philharmonie of Essen, OrchesterZentrum Dortmund, Music Center Helsinki, Turku Castle, Liceu Auditorium Barcelona, Casa da Música do Porto, and many more.

Diogo's recognition includes prizes in some international competitions and the recent recognition at the 2022 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy competition for Contemporary Ensembles and the recent participation at the prestigious Josip Nochta Competition in Zagreb, Croatia.

Diogo teaches all saxophones and ensemble playing in Portuguese, Spanish, English and German.
