About Me

I am an excellent music teacher with 12+ years teaching experience; ; piano, voice, ukulele, guitar, recorder, composition, improvisation, general musicianship and music theory. I adopt a student-led approach tailoring my lessons to the individual, students ranging from toddlers to adults. I am happy to support students in whatever their goals may be, whether its performance, songwriting, a specific piece, experimentation through improvisations, or grade / exam preparation ABRSM/RIAM/LCM/VCM/Trinity. I am also a Board Certified Music Therapist so I also have a wealth of experience working with children and adults with additional and varied complex needs, this means I can tailor and adapt lessons as appropriate. I majored in Composition as part of my Music Degree so I enjoy arranging music for my students, adapting pieces to their level. The course that I propose is BILINGUAL FRENCH / ENGLISH, as well as 2 BOOKS.

Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress.

Here the pleasure of playing music is put forward.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth.
