Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Folk or classical acoustic guitar. The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation. For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...). For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...). Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. As a soloist and as part of the orchestra I have played concerts and participate in national and international competitions in Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Russia, Germany, France and Austria. Hello, welcome to my profile! My name is Richard, nice to meet you! I'm a Dutch (Netherlands) piano teacher and concert pianist with 25 years of experience. As a piano teacher, I have extensive experience with students of all ages and levels, as well as different music styles. I hold a Master's degree in Music in both piano performance and as a piano teacher. For the past 25 years, I have been teaching piano lessons (both individual and group lessons) at several music schools in the Netherlands, as well as private piano lessons in various European countries and the USA. I'm available for in-person piano lessons at your home or at my studio, but I can also teach online (via Zoom), if you prefer so. I speak fluent English, Spanish, German, Dutch, and basic Italian, so I can teach in all of these languages. As a concert pianist, I have made numerous concert tours as a soloist and played with renown orchestras in several countries, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, UK, and United Arab Emirates. Furthermore, I won prizes in several prestigious piano competitions, made various TV-, radio and album recordings, and attended masterclasses with world-renown pianists such as the master pianists Murray Perahia, Jacques Rouvier, Emanual Ax and Igor Roma. My piano lessons are for students of all ages and levels, who would like to learn or improve their piano playing. Although my background is in classical repertoire, I also have experience in teaching popular and film music, among other types of music.
