About Me
Born into a family of professional musicians I had music surrounding throughout my childhood! At 16 I was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Purcell School of Music and joined the National Youth Orchestra of GB and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Whilst at Purcell I had my solo debut under Sir Simon Rattle @ QEH London and was awarded the Princes Trust personally from Prince Charles.
I went on to study as a scholar at the Royal College of Music and during that time I was invited to play @ Buckingham Palace at the Royal Family's behest. I was invited to play @ the famous Birdland Jazz Club in New York playing with the Ellington Band and meeting the famous Band leader Duke Ellington's sister Ruth.
I went on to study Jazz @ Guildhall School of Music & Drama and @ Berklee College Boston USA where I was selected to takee part on the first ever ISAJ Tour of the Baltics run by former Miles Davies saxophone sideman David Leibman.
I am passionate about sharing my vast experience on to whoever wishes to learn and feel it vital that students must learn the all-important foundations of learning which are themselves the stepping stones to true 'success'!
I love children in particular! I have six of my own who all learn music and tennis (amongst other things!!) and are thriving due to being nurtured under a balanced environment of fun and discipline :)
