About Me
I've studied Guitar Performance major at Berklee College of Music. I have previously taught students ranging from children to elders, in various guitar styles including jazz, rock and pop. While at school, I focused on improving my instrument skills and learning different techniques and styles. While focusing on performance, my years of education have provided me with many different leadership positions and on-campus employment that trained and helped me develop not only my musician but also interpersonal skills. Within those positions I worked as a Core Music Tutor at Berklee College of Music, where I provided individual, hourly tutoring sessions. During the class time I assisted the students in completing coursework and projects in subjects like Fundamentals of Ear Training, Music Fundamentals, Music Application and Theory, Harmony 2-4, Ear Training 1-4, Solfege 1-2, Arranging 1-2, Tonal Harmony and Composition 1-2, Art of Counterpoint, and Conducting 1. I believe that with unlimited content at their fingertips, people today tend to be overwhelmed by the amount of information, whereas I consider it should be a mix between knowledge and perceptual approach. I believe in the teaching mission through a holistic experience. The guitar is an instrument of expression of what we have already incorporated in our ears. Learning with me it will be with joy and fun.
