Music Theory - made simple, straightforward, and easy!
From 36 £ /h
Music theory is an often daunting topic; this doesn't have to be the case! I'm confident that I can guide any pupil through from basic, all the way to advanced knowledge levels (grade 8+).
I promise to ensure that no part of my teaching will overcomplicate things. I will always give my students simple yet memorable tools to overcome any hurdles.
I know exactly how it feels to struggle with certain aspects of music theory as I have done in the past. I'm extremely friendly, calm, patient, and will always go over and above to help my pupils.
I look forward to hearing from you!

About Me
Hi!
My name is Chris, and I'm a classical tenor who has a burning passion for his art.
Without a doubt, music is my purpose in life, and I'd argue it is in most people's lives. I'm devoted to my craft and always looking to further my knowledge every day.
Alongside my professional performing career, I thoroughly enjoy teaching my students and building up a strong relationship with them. When singing, we put ourselves in a vulnerable position. We are welcoming the audience into our musical world. Thus, there are no barriers between our deepest emotions and our listeners. Learning to sing is a very similar experience as the pupil puts their trust into the hands of their teacher. Trust is the most vital aspect of the whole experience, and I want nothing more than my pupils to flourish.
Many of my pupils have gone onto secure scholarships at leading musical institutions in the UK and regularly perform on national TV and radio.
Of course, this is just a tiny snippet of what I do; I don't just teach my pupils how to 'sing'. Instead, my pupils learn how to communicate not only with an audience but more importantly, themselves. We must learn how to control every aspect of our being when singing. However, this can only happen when we feel relaxed and comfortable.
Why do we sing? Simply because we enjoy it. This ethos transfers directly into my teaching philosophy. We must learn to sing through our enjoyment, happiness, and enthusiasm.
I welcome any interest from potential pupils, and I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you.
