@As a soloist
Leo performed for a whole concert many times at Concert Hall of Xiamen University. He also attended the “In Honour of Fritz Kreisler” concert held by Academy of Arts at Xiamen University in 2018.
He has attended many masterclasses held in the college, including violinist from England: Philippe Honore(RCM), American violinist Rachel Huang,(UNC) Shuting Yao, Japanese violinist Katsuyama(TUA), Korean-American violinist Chin Kim, violin professor Jiafeng Chen(RBC), Xika Huang.
@Orchestral experience
During his study in Xiamen, China from 2015-2019, he has performed as a number of the Xiamen University Symphony Orchestra(XUSO) for many times, including the performances in a few well-known concert halls, such as National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Fuzhou grand theatre, Shenzhen Poly theatre. He has played Song for Peace at Concert Hall in Xiamen University as the chief of his part in the XUSO. He has also performed as a member of RBC Symphony Orchestra in Bradshaw Hall at RBC and Symphony Hall in Birmingham.
Leo, as a member of orchestras, has collaborated with conductors: Fei Huang, Yang Yang, Michael Seal, Dan Rosian, Jaume Santonja. He has performed Beethoven: Symphony No.9, Coriolanus Overture, Schubert: Symphony No.8 with musicians from Cardiff University to celebrate Xiamen University’s 95th birthday. He has played Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No.1 as a number of XUSO with Russian pianist Alexander Sinchuk, Huang He Piano Concerto with pianist Jennifer Gu and Dvorak Cello Concerto with cellist Di Yang. He also played Dvorak Symphony No.8, Mozart oboe concerto with soloist Jonathan Kelly, Mozart Piano Concerto with pianist Daniel Lebhardt, and Don Juan as a member of RBC Symphony Orchestra during season 2019-2020.
@He is also a passionate chamber musician.
He has collaborated with conductor Qiusheng Chen. violinists: Wei Duan, Laeenders Daniel, Yang Yu, violist: Negros Naomi, cellist: Hensels Eline, clarinettist: El Jyad, pianists: Alonso Maria, Ruoying Chen. Leo has performed chamber music in the Concert Hall of Xiamen University and Great church of Prade, for example, Mozart String Quartet No.14, Beethoven String Quartet No.4, Dvorak String Quartet No.12, Schubert String Quartet No.14 – ” Death and The Maiden”. As chief of his part, he played Tchaikovsky: Serenade for String Orchestra.

Education
Leo Liao has finished his bachelor's degree in the Academy of Arts at Xiamen University in China in 2019. Now he is studying Royal Birmingham Conservatoire(RBC) with Jiafeng Chen for his master's degree.
