Science tutoring with specialism in chemistry (KS3-KS5)
From 33 £ /h
I am a fully qualified science teacher (PGCE and QTS) at secondary school age, with a specialism in chemistry (BSc Chemistry degree from the University of Wolverhampton).
My goal is to tutor to the needs of the students with an initial lesson set on getting to know what the student requires from this service. I am fully qualified to teach all three sciences up to KS4 (GCSE or equivalent), and Chemistry as a specialism at KS5 (A-level or equivalent).
Homework will be kept to an absolute minimum (5-10 minute tasks that could be repeated throughout the week in the form of memory games etc) as I believe this tutoring service is proof enough of the work being done outside of school hours. Everyone deserves a break! My teaching style is very relaxed to reflect this, however I have plenty of experience teaching pupils of a very high level so can easily push you to achieve your greatest potential.

About Me
I spent years of school absolutely dreading every day. I became a teacher to make the school experience better for the pupils I will be teaching. School for me became a place of anxiety with unstable teaching staff, which has prompted my desire to become a teacher. After finishing my PGCE course in what can only be described as surreal circumstances due to the covid-19 pandemic, I am itching to continue to teach and help pupils in a time where in-class feedback is so limited.
I'm currently on maternity leave from my full time job, but would love the opportunity to continue my teaching practice online.
