There's also the option of learning English through historical studies! Already know English but still need help in history or just have a keen interest in the subject? I can help with that too! I can help with studying techniques or comprehension of the materials.

In this class, you can learn English in all forms or even history. The choice is yours! Classes are designed to focus on you and your specific needs and/or wants.

Extra information

Unless you're wanting to just focus on conversational English, I've found that a tablet or laptop work best for any screen sharing and reading exercises. I understand that life is busy as well, but for classes, a quiet learning environment is usually best, however, I understand if the occasional lesson has to be on the go!

I use TPR daily in conversation outside of the classroom, so I am very good at non-verbal communication. I can usually figure out a way to describe almost anything with gestures.

I have lots of props and flashcards and I love it when I can use them. I feel they are important for learning because it helps to visualize the things we're talking about in class!

I do not have a preferred age for my students. I have experience with both the younger learners to adults. I've taught basic beginners zero level English to advanced, as well as high school subject materials, business English, conversational english, phonics, reading, grammar, essay writing, exam preparation, and many more areas of study to students age ranging from 4-76; whatever subject you'd like to learn, I'm happy to help.

I graduated from Rogers State University in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Arts in History. I also have an Associates degree in History and an Associate's degree in Psychology. I obtained my TEFL 120-Hour Certification in 2017.

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.

The typical course of a session:
1. Quick diagnosis: We start by identifying the areas of uncertainty from the previous lesson or the difficulties with a specific exercise.
2. Taking action: No boring lectures! We work on concrete exercises, essay plans or oral practice (in English) to "learn by doing".
3. The "Montreal Method": Having worked for two and a half years in Quebec, I use a North American pedagogy that is very focused on encouragement, clear structure and student autonomy.
