With language being the most important form of communication, my services aim to help learners become articulate English speakers, readers and writers, whether English is their first language or not.
With 5 years experience of teaching children, teenagers and adults, I aspire to secure learners with sophisticated communication skills, essential to equip them for future studies and/or work.
I hold a PGCE in Secondary English as well as strong experience in teaching children and adults. I can teach academic English including at GCSE, A-Level and University level, as well as the English language for any learner who wants to become fluent.

This class will cover GCSE English Language, both paper 1 and paper 2. Looking at each of the topics individually and working though the questions. I will go through what is expected in each question and give more lessons on each topic. I will also be doing GCSE English Literature, looking at varieties of texts and explain on what is needed from you to answer the questions and understanding the texts.

This class is perfect for anyone who needs that little push to achieve their full potential. You could be working towards a test such as your SATs or just need a bit of help to catch up with your peers.

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with experience from Reception class up to Year 6 and I am here to help you reach your goals in a stress-free manner and help you enjoy your education.

Students needing support with their studies in GCSE English and A level English will be given one to one specialist help with lessons designed to work towards their particular exam board. Students will learn how to read and analyse a text effectively using subject specific terminology as well as improving their creative writing skills. This class will use a combination of useful worksheets to ensure knowledge of grammar and literary terms is improved as well as varied and interesting writing tasks. The reading material will be taken from exam board websites and as well as from set texts from all UK specifications and will always be challenging. Students will have work marked accurately and effectively by an examiner from the WJEC board and given feedback which will help the student to improve on existing skills.

Anyone can be struggling with English- whether it’s your first time trying to grasp grammar, or you’re preparing for a GCSE or A level, even just a- what seems like- silly little Year 9 end of year exam. As someone recently out of college, I’m still very aware of the current systems and grading schemes so probably the most integrated a teacher can get. Not like some teachers who give an exam 29 years ago and regurgitate the same thing over and over again. One on one, learn at your own rate is a MUST over here. :)
