I am a Teaching Associate and Writing Tutor at a London University. I have been teaching History and Essay Writing to undergraduate students for the past three years. I also have experience tutoring children and teenagers to help them prepare for their exams (GCSE, A-Level, Brevet, Baccalauréat).

I strongly believe the student should be at the centre of the tutor’s attention and planning every step of the way. Every tutee is different, and I will always spend the first hour discussing what their expectations are, what has worked best for them until then, and what they are struggling with. If their attention span is short, I will make sure to both work with it by adapting my lessons and work to improve it over time. If exam anxiety prevents them from achieving the results they could, I will include regular mock exams.
I want my tutees to feel at ease and stress-free during our lessons, and making our time together safe and comfortable is crucial to me.

About Me
I am a tutor because I love teaching and seeing my students become more confident and comfortable with their knowledge and abilities. I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant at Queen Mary, University of London, but I miss my tutoring days.

I have been tutoring on and off since 2013. I was lucky enough to work with a diverse range of students, age- and character-wise. I am as comfortable tutoring young children to improve their self-confidence or their focus as I am helping teenagers find the best way to organise their ideas on paper or present them in public.
Thanks to my academic background, I am able to prepare lessons on most subjects fast and efficiently.

I strongly believe the student should be at the centre of the tutor’s attention and planning every step of the way. Every tutee is different, and I will always spend the first hour discussing what their expectations are, what has worked best for them until then, and what they are struggling with. I have experience tutoring children and teenagers to help them prepare for their exams (GCSE, A-Level), to boost their confidence when speaking and writing, or just to ensure what they learned in class has been clearly understood.

I have also helped quite a few adult friends practice and improve their spoken French, and I would love to help you do so too!

Nothing can boost your grade quite like a well-written essay. It's a brilliant exercise in critical thought, analysis, and comprehension that can help you interpret the world and its media long after graduation. In my classes, I focus on how to most efficiently express yourself, using the following technique:

- Spending the majority of the process on the OUTLINE - knowing what you're going to say is the hard part, so let's knock that out first, the rest is easy!
- Use of vocabulary - advance your speech in order to convey exactly what you want to say.
- How to think critically - I will review with you what you should be looking for when you read, for maximum enjoyment as well as analysis.

I look forward to seeing you in the Zoom Room!
