I'm a french teacher. I taught for 17 years in France with the equivalent of the PGCE qualification in high schools to prepare students for french language and litterature equivalents of GCSE and A level in France. I worked also in university. I moved this year in Cardiff with my wife who is welsh and our two children. I'm presently a french tutor in French Language in Cardiff University and i also teach french litterature in this university. I also have the Qualified teacher Status. In the large variety of my experience, i propose you to adjust my lessons to your needs. I can start with you beginner lessons. I could do this for young students or for adults. English Literature, while being a fun and engaging subject, can be equally daunting - especially when getting your ideas down on the page! This class is designed for Scottish High school students, ranging from National 5 to Advanced Higher level, and offers support with how to approach textual analysis, essay writing skills, proofreading, and exam techniques so that your ideas can be conveyed in the best way possible. I have a first-class MA undergraduate in English literature from the University of Edinburgh, so am up to date with contemporary literary theory and debates. Furthermore, I sat the Scottish National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher English exams myself, and achieved A's, as recently as 2018 so I have an understanding of what the courses entail. I have tutored privately for three years, and am available in person and over Zoom. My approach to teaching English is a collaborative one, allowing for an open discussion of your aims and needs. I can tailor to what each person struggles with in class while providing the information and structure needed to excel in examinations. Furthermore, I will proofread the folio work required for the exam. I find that with this approach, students gain the confidence and skill set needed to tackle their examinations and thrive.

This class is for students who require assistance with editing academic or other work. My goal is to improve the English content of students' written work as well as grammar. I will provide constructive feedback to enable students to develop their writing. This class will be offered for GCSE English onwards and includes university dissertations and other pieces of written work.

This class will cover GCSE English Language, both paper 1 and paper 2. Looking at each of the topics individually and working though the questions. I will go through what is expected in each question and give more lessons on each topic. I will also be doing GCSE English Literature, looking at varieties of texts and explain on what is needed from you to answer the questions and understanding the texts.
